If we're only looking at the specs, then
Acer 4750, i3-2310M + Intel HD3000@RM1549, FreeDOS
Lenovo G470, i3-2310M + Intel HD3000@RM1599, FreeDOS

The price can still be lowered to RM1.5k nod.gif

Inspiron 14R, i5-2410M + AMD HD6630@RM2349

My budget would be less than RM2500. Currently looking into these three. I would like to ask how many years of warranty is provided by default for the respective models above? Also in terms of quality build, which one is more reliable and have there been any issues with any of the laptops above? For GPU, is there any noticeable performances variance? And lastly Asus's 6 cell 4400mh batteries meaning it has longer battery life compared to the other two?

Help will be much appreciated. And i am still open for other options.
Thank you.

For me, i will go for Acer Aspire 5750G, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M(2GB) @RM2399

It consider the best choose for value of money. including the free gift and warranty, even the brand was not so good.
if for normal usage no need to spend 2.5k on a laptop lo. And how u define "Normal" for usage?

Gaming, surfing, movie or music? without any information i was hard to define.

Need recommendation here:

Budget: Around RM2000

Purpose:Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Normal editing job which involves a lot of typing

Size : 14" is enough already

Specs : Prefer i5, but am not sure whether it is a must to me. (I can't figure out the main differences between i3 and i5) Phenom may be OK, too.

Brand : Not restricted

Thanks.

No gaming?
Then,
Acer Aspire 4750, i5-2410M + Intel HD3000@RM1999
Lenovo G470, i5-2410M + Intel HD3000@RM1999

I would choose Lenovo because of the ergonomic keyboard, will be good for typists nod.gif
