Need recommendation here:
Budget: Around RM2000
Purpose:Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Normal editing job which involves a lot of typing
Size : 14" is enough already
Specs : Prefer i5, but am not sure whether it is a must to me. (I can't figure out the main differences between i3 and i5) Phenom may be OK, too.
Brand : Not restricted
Thanks.

Thanks a lot. =]
Added on May 7, 2011, 8:23 pmErm Last question : is Intel HD 3000 enough for Photoshop & InDesign ? I don't do video editing and gaming a lot, but I use InDesign most of the time. Can it handle?
Thanks.

QUOTE(AlexLai @ May 7 2011, 09:00 PM) InDesign runs fine on the older Intel HD. I assume you do a lot of design work? Actually not much. I write them because I think they will be the heaviest job for my future laptop to do. Not much gaming actually (just some mini games - eg Plant vs Zombie :S ) I just checked out the lowyat's price list and found no notebook with the specification was listed. Hope that I still can get it.

I just browsed the fliers I got from PC Fair last time (mid-April) and nearly shouted out for it's really a good bargain (unfortunately I missed it ==) :
Acer Aspire 5742-i5 Intel Core i5-520M (2.4GHz, Turbo Boost to 2.96GHz) Windows 7 Home Premium 4GB DDR3 RAM 320GB Hard Drive 15.6"
at only RM1899!! (and it stated normal price is RM2199)
I checked with Acer official website and the price stated there is RM2999 ==
I think this was indeed a typo error
