Or Acer 4743ZG P6200 2.13GHz/2GB/320GB/14"/GT 520M 1GB/Windows 7 Home Premium@RM1749 (I get it for RM1679). I suggest you take Acer, much better overall. GT 520M is faster as well
*
I would suggest getting the ASUS one with i3. P6200 is just too old, battery consumption would be a problem
QUOTE(christcwl9 @ Mar 16 2011, 10:14 PM)
So If for now , N53sv is the BEST ?? Got USB 3.0 mar ?? @@
*
Got one port, more than enough laugh.gif
If you buy all USB 3.0 also not all devices will have USB 3.0, and not all connecting at once icon_idea.gif
ASUS's plan to lower the price is good!

+1. I'm really waiting for the 14 inch version
15 inch version truly bulky shakehead.gif

There are really pros and cons in everything, depends on which one suites you best and also meets all of your conditions nod.gif
Personally would go for ASUS N-series laugh.gif Price-to-performance ratio is my problem.
*
just want to see which build quality is better...
+1, prefer N series design than xps, look odd
and everyone say that N series build material is good rclxms.gif

hi , i would to have some recommendations by sifus here on what should i get .

usage : surf net , watchin HD and some document processing .
budget : the lower the better XD , 2.5k tops
wat i prefer : intel SB , 15.6" , usb 3.0 , lesser power consumption

gonna use this lappie as a substitute to my desktop , meaning no need lightweight ,good battery etc , not goin carry around much .

Questions
1)do i need a dedicated GPU for such usage ? or just intel hd 3000 is fine.
2)whether i should get i3 or i5 .
3)any newer models that will be released soon tat suit my requirements?

I have a few models in my mind , the SBs of dell i3 , i5 and acer i5 . open for suggestions .

These are the considerations i can think of now =)
thanks sifu !

The Asus would have worse battery consumption as the Acer got nVidia Optimus...
If P6200 is too old, i3 is also too old...

P6200 is based on Arrandale, I told you before, its the same as Core i3 without Turboboost and Hyperthreading. Everything else is the same. Stop being an ignorant

So far, what I see from N53SV i5 2410M models sold in msia, none have the usb3.0 yet.

But in N53SN i7 2630QM, confirm have.
