My last Q before trying to buy a laptop tomorrow..... Acer 4750G (i5-2410 GT520M) or Dell 15R (i5-2410 HD6630) or waiting for 4830TG.... which one is value for money. Games: Mod Warfare2/Angry Bird/CS. Work: SPSS/Office/Pic editing. BUdget <2.5k... the less the better. Which one is enough for the task. 4750G got YES 4G doggle/AV/3yrs warranty, dell on-site warranty.. difficult to choose with so many SB i5 nowadays. Or any other suitable alternative? Extra money will be saved for investment smile.gif
and i need USB3.0... have an external USB3.0 HDD... (damn fast)

My vote goes to Asus A43Sv@RM2499 (already available, 2 years international warranty), then Acer 4830TG@RM2499 (Upcoming, integrated battery) nod.gif

Nope
Heat is the battery's biggest enemy, unless you game in air-conditioned room or you don't game at all, the battery will probably spoil after 1-2 years like you said... sad.gif

will the 4G dogle, AV and 3yrs warranty which come with 4750g useful compared to dell on-site 1 yr warranty? is 3yrs limited warranty same as extende warranty?

Then it would only run at USB 2.0 speed even if you use USB 3.0 devices...

No, theoretically USB 2.0 can achieve max 60MB/s, but most of the time just 20MB/s++
