hi fellas, need some feedback on Dell's XPS 16. any current users mind sharing ur experience?

its gonna be my first laptop, so not much experience. appreciate all the feedbacks.

specs as follows:

-Intel® Core™ i5-540M Processor (2.53Ghz, 4 Thread, turbo boost up to 3.06 GHz, 3M cache)
-8GB (4GBx2) 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM --> is 8gb overkill?
-1GB DDR3 ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5730

gonna be using it for work and some gaming. hopefully can last me for 3-4 years

Agreed. Internal graphics will rape your RAM instead of having a dedicated one. I still say MacBook Air is better for 13 inch
Though MBP 15 inch is pwnage

MBA still using integrated GPU...

What settings you can play on your 5750G? Expect little slower from that..

Maybe yes, maybe no, depends on the specific model...
Number of cell can be the same, but capacity/voltage can be different..

Size is the same as 14" right? Or the 14 refers specifically to the screen only?
I know the laptop is heavy, much heavier than regular 15"
*
14'' is just referring to screen.

Then it would only run at USB 2.0 speed even if you use USB 3.0 devices...

that seagate hdd using usb 2.0 only, my sister didn't upgrade it to usb 3.0
but i thought it will be quite fast, at least till 50mb/s or so...
but when i borrow it to use, quite disappointed with the speed tongue.gif
*
No, theoretically USB 2.0 can achieve max 60MB/s, but most of the time just 20MB/s++
