If you friend like to play that game, better choose ATi/AMD GPU for now...

HD6630M, can expect around HD5650/HD6550 level...
Other model is other brand, but mostly now with the Optimus, like Acer 4830TG ( i5 2410M + nVidia GT540M@RM2499).. with ATi/AMD, Asus A42Jp (i5 480M + ATi HD6570M@RM2599), Acer 4820TG( i5 480M + ATi HD6550M@RM2499), Acer 3820TG (i3 380M + ATi HD6550M@RM2199), Toshiba L645 (i3 380M + ATi HD5650@RM2099) The A53Sv don't have USB 3.0 and the Inspiron 14R got 2 USB 3.0 if not mistaken.. QUOTE(maxereno @ Mar 26 2011, 10:01 PM) 4830TG,QUOTE(Hi_KilleR @ Mar 26 2011, 10:21 PM) Asus A42Jy, i3 380M + ATi HD6470M@RM1999But if want better GPU, better consider Acer 3820TG, i3 380M + ATi HD6550M@RM2199.. QUOTE(mitodna @ Mar 27 2011, 12:27 AM) Thanks, too many tempting stuff below 2.5K, long time no use notebook at home, tempted to use again So far, looking good Can't decide, is the 4830 Timeline X worth the money? Wondering QUOTE(Yennie22 @ Mar 27 2011, 02:42 AM) I need recommendations on laptop..(or is it better to get a desktop?) If you can choose desktop, it would always be the better choice...brand: - budget: - im a designer, i owned a compaq laptop n its now 3 years old.. i plan to save up to get a better 1 ... Usage: autocad 2009/2011, 3dmax 2009/2011, photoshop / illustrator, social networking, internet browsing, microsoft office, video, music..good graphic is a must must... basically.. the main concern is about the 3dmax rendering.. picking up hours.. n sometimes unable to render despite the memory/etc... therefore i need some suggestion on laptops... how's alienware(what's so good about it? is the spec is better than other brands?)? how much is it cost ? or any other brands..? can someone please give me the specification/etc... im a tech newb.. Alienware for now, only the new Alienware M17x R3 has the new specs, the rest still using the old gen. Cheaper solution, can consider the Asus N53Sn, i7 2630QM + nVidia GT550M@RM3499, it got 4 slot ram. Unless you want to get better CPU than the N53Sn offer, you would need to go other brand like Alienware, Sager, etc.. This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Mar 27 2011, 06:35 AM |

QUOTE(Yennie22 @ Mar 27 2011, 10:07 AM) how much it cost for Alienware M17x R3? i was thinking... of having 6 ram minimum ... for my nx pc... Starting RM 7499...Pretty much any recent notebook can support up to 8GB (2x4GB)... QUOTE(jusjus88 @ Mar 27 2011, 10:11 AM) Oh crap...means N53N wont be able to tahan long hours lor then? No, it just mean it could have higher temp...I've been thinking thinking thinking. At first plan to N53SV, then it says no USB3.0. Now i want to raise my budget to N53SN. But then it'll get warmer..
