QUOTE(Hidan @ Apr 12 2011, 01:08 PM) No Prob. The CS told me to wait for a week. As a guide, just don't use the Visa/MC (not even once) if you want to make any changes. Bloody hell ... i've used mine a few times ... |

QUOTE(zenquix @ Apr 12 2011, 05:18 PM) Hi Hidan, Maybank CS giving different answers ... so typical of them. Anyway, have you ever used your MBB2 VISA ?Can you give me the name or contact of your CS? I called in and they demanded that I go to the branch to cancel my M2C Visa and to apply a new M2C Mastercard. At first they requested that I cancel the M2C Visa + M2C Amex and reapply a new M2C MC + M2CAmex |

QUOTE(simplesmile @ Apr 13 2011, 08:43 PM) How about this? Happened to me when I checked the statement this morning. It will follow the transaction date. And hotel usually will only bill your credit card on the day you check-out. I swiped my card to pay hotel bill on 8th Apr. Checked my statement "Transaction date 10th Apr, Posting date 12th Apr". So... is it considered 8th or 10th? Cos 8th is Friday, 10th is Sunday. Maybe the hotel staff good to me, transact on Sunday, let me earn 5% rebate. QUOTE(chemistry @ Apr 13 2011, 08:53 PM) But Starbucks Sunway Pyramid is indeed in the list of participating outlets Print out the flyer and show it to them. Do not ever compromise !!! |

I once gave my HSBC ATM card and the cashier really insert my card into the terminal slot. She did it again and again after the system failed to recognize the card. This happened in SHELL about a year ago
QUOTE(simplesmile @ Apr 14 2011, 10:09 AM) I swiped and checked out on Friday. Dunno why the transaction date is Sunday. Hmm ... that's weird. This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: Apr 14 2011, 10:13 AM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 15 2011, 03:43 PM) Got a call from Maybank today, they offered me Maybankard 2 Gold Card, I'm just a fresh grad so not like you guys here have Platinum Card. Among the best cards in the country. You won't be sorry. And welcome to the MBB2 club Hope this is a good deal. QUOTE(simplesmile @ Apr 15 2011, 08:35 PM) I like MBB2 la. First statement came. No service tax. You'll be charged eventually. I've received my third MBB2 statement and have not been charged to date. Expect to see the credit card tax to be charged to my account in the next statement, or may be the one after.QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 15 2011, 09:26 PM) I think I have not seen any service tax on my CIMB Direct Access if I'm not mistaken. You mentioned you received the card in July last year, correct ? The credit card tax should already be billed to your account in your first statement. |

QUOTE(winner @ Apr 17 2011, 10:09 AM) From my M2U account, I can see that the RM50 service tax has been charged for my Maybankard 2 Visa Platinum on 16-4-11. I received Maybankard 2 Visa Platinum and Maybankard 2 Amex Platinum in February. The anniversary date is actually in August, which follows my existing Amex Gold cc. Just checked my account, RM50 has been billed to my account too on 16 Apr 2011. In my MBB2 AMEX account, it is stated there that service tax has been paid (SERVICE TAX PAID - PRINCIPAL). I received my MBB2 cards around 20th January, by the way.QUOTE(ronnie @ Apr 17 2011, 10:18 AM) Same same.... So it doesn't actually follow the previous Maybankard CC's GST date. Do you shop at places such as SOGO and Parkson ? Because if you do, it's probably better that you just pay the credit card tax with your own money as you need less than 10,000 TP to redeem a RM50 voucher. I just redeemed RM150 SOGO vouchers (RM50x3) at SOGO customer service centre on 7th floor when i was in KL last week and i still have around 46,000 TP in my account (40,000+ in MBB2 AMEX). I have also received more than RM100 cash rebate from Maybank from their 5% weekend rebate. MBB2 AMEX is the best Should I pay with TP or Cash ???? hmmmmm |

QUOTE(beyond86 @ Apr 17 2011, 08:57 PM) Amex GST is waived while GST visa/master is charged, mine visa also charged on 16 apr, my mbb2 cards approved on 17th feb. From here, we can know that Visa are charged to all mbb2 cards holder in same time, that is 16 apr. In my case, the credit card service tax was billed to both my accounts on the same day which is 16 Apr 2011. The credit card service tax for MBB2 AMEX is waived on the same day too. Basically, everything was done on the same day.Between, on 17 Mar, Amex gst waived |

QUOTE(gift4every1 @ Apr 17 2011, 11:47 PM) they will charge the GST on visa card, they charged the GST wrongly to amex card.... so they have waived it... just wait for the visa card statement next month, u will see the GST will be charged into this card No. They did not charge wrong. They will do the usual thing which is to bill you the credit card service tax to your MBB2 AMEX and then help you to pay for it as clearly stated as being waived in the product disclosure sheet. We still have to pay for the credit card service tax for MBB2 VISA/MasterCard ourselves though. |

QUOTE(jo_leong @ Apr 18 2011, 01:55 PM) I have been rejected by Hongleong Bank once but that was 6 mths ago but thats abt it. I pay my bills on time. I even have a car loan that is paid on time every month. Is there any way i could check it? If that's the case, you better check your CCRIS at any BNM office. Just go to any BNM office and make sure you have your IC with you and the chip is readable. You can print out the CCRIS report in under 1 minute.QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 18 2011, 02:08 PM) Can these cards convert any purchase to installment? Something like CIMB Direct Access? What card ? QUOTE(fuu @ Apr 18 2011, 09:43 PM) Oh ya, I forgot to ask the CS just now. Is it possible to clear off the amount before the statement date (in my case, before the 24th)? Yes. You can clear your outstanding before the statement date but i don't get why do you want to do that. The bank is generous enough to give you 20 days counting from then statement date for you to settle your outstanding balance. So, why not take advantage of it ? I always pay like 2-3 days before the due date QUOTE(fuu @ Apr 18 2011, 09:43 PM) Another thing is, let's say I have paid the amount on the 26th, how long does it usually take for the system to update this? Through online banking, for instance. It depends on the 26th for that particular month falls on which day and is the next day a public holiday ? And also the time you transferred the money out through online banking, whether you did that before the bank's cut-off time or after. You can learn more about Interbank GIRO (IBG) in this thread. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 19 2011, 01:41 AM) Oh oh, I feel regret now. Your statement date should be around 12th - 16th every month right ? Transactions made on the 24th are to be billed to the next statement, which is why you there is no interest for this as long as you make the payment in full and on-time before the next due date. How does the 20 days take into calculation? For e.g., my current CIMB DA's due date is every month's 3rd, I usually pay on the 28th or 29th using GIRO, that's why I have to pay earlier to avoid any late payment. I can buy a stuff on the 24th and it is only reflected on 27th but I can pay it in the following month's 28th or 29th. I didn't get any penalty though, is this how the calculation works? |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 19 2011, 02:20 AM) Cool! Got it! OK, I'll just forget about this 20-day thingy, kinda confused me at one point of time. Just make sure you make full payment (preferably) or the minimum amount as stated in your monthly statement before the due date, which is also stated clearly in your monthly statement then yeah, you'll be safe Yes, it is billed every month's 13th if I'm not mistaken. So put it in a simple way, as long as I pay before 3rd, then I'll be safe eh? This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: Apr 19 2011, 02:47 AM |
