Maybank fellow called to ask if I have received all my cards. I actually told him whatever hassle I have gone through. Though he can't help much but at least I have done my part as a consumer.

Finally got my VISA card and called to cancel my MasterCard.
The person told me it needs 10 working days to get it cancelled and I'll need to destroy it from my end. Finally my hoo-haa with Maybank has ended... |

QUOTE(Togepy @ May 17 2011, 12:10 PM) No, major difference. In fact MasterCard has more promotions compared to VISA.I got a VISA for Maybankard2Gold Card because I already have MasterCard from my CIMB Direct Access, if not I'll still stick to AMEX+MasterCard. |

QUOTE(Alec.Yong @ May 18 2011, 04:50 PM) Lunch time was at IOI Mall's Starbucks to get 4 drinks. Was told that can't split in 2 transactions (in order to get 2 free drinks). Because the promotion is only once per day, per card? Finally ended up with 2 transactions with 2 different Amex cards. Meaning that can not split into 2 transactions with 1 Amex card, but can split into 2 transcation with 2 different Amex card. |

QUOTE(eXPeri3nc3 @ May 20 2011, 12:30 AM) I think Maybank sent mine to my local branch in my hometown in which I won't be able to retrieve it. No, nobody can collect on your behalf...Is it possible if I ask my parents to help me to get them? It's been there for months. I was thinking of cancelling it too if things go awry. |

QUOTE(eXPeri3nc3 @ May 20 2011, 12:39 AM) Oh... Geez. Why not ask them to send to the branch that is near to you now? I believe they can accommodate to your request. Then I might have to call Maybank to cancel. After all they issued it to me without really asking me if I wanted it. Thanks fruitie Haha. I'm better than you, at least they have the "courtesy" to call and offer me before issuing to me. |

QUOTE(Shinichi @ May 20 2011, 08:00 AM) Previously I was able to get my father to collect on my behalf from post office after arrangement made with Maybank... Nowadays cannot already, I faced twice and Poslaju refused to allow anyone to collect on my behalf. Maybank insisted anybody can sign on my behalf, I got annoyed and asked them to check with Poslaju first before talking to me. QUOTE(eXPeri3nc3 @ May 20 2011, 08:24 AM) Hmm maybe ask them to courier it back to KL Sentral lol. I regret asking them to send it back to hometown. Oh, you asked them to send to your hometown. Yea, I get the courtesy call, but I said I will let them know. Next day they auto issue the card to me I'm like, erm, I didn't give you my consent. I asked them to send to my office, also in KL Sentral and guess what they automatically sent them back to my hometown address and I had to go back to collect. |

QUOTE(sleepwalker_00 @ May 20 2011, 08:46 AM) Last night I received sms from Maybank, said that my Maybank 2 gold card application has been approved, and I checked my Maybank2u, my credit card account was there. That means your cards will reach soon, you may call up CS to check on the actual delivery date.Anybody knows when is the cut off day of credit card? Cut off day of credit card? What did you mean? |

QUOTE(eXPeri3nc3 @ May 20 2011, 08:49 AM) Oh I work around KL Sentral also. But never thought of the branch in KL Sentral Well, instead of us guessing here, I believe the best solution is to call up the CS and ask for ways to solve this problem. But the thing is my hometown is pretty far and I gotta take leave just to retrieve the cards. Not worth it lah. Sigh. Cos my housing area also no Maybank branch. I don't have a car. Best I thought is send it back to hometown so that parents can retrieve it. But noooo |

QUOTE(sleepwalker_00 @ May 20 2011, 08:50 AM) Different holders, different dates. They will appear on your M2U after sometimes or you can call CS to ask, they can tell you immediately. Mine isn't shown until today, nearly 3 weeks since I got my cards but I have called CS to check out. This post has been edited by fruitie: May 20 2011, 08:53 AM |

QUOTE(kentLKW @ May 20 2011, 02:38 PM) Just called up Maybank since got some free time... I see, I'm also a new user. mine is just 2x my current salary.. so i guess new Credit user won't have such high credit limit.. They ask me to ask the local branch nx week to make sure the card receive.. and also is Mastercard so Grow more collection of cards? For me, I only need few useful cards. Others not need. My cards at the moment: CIMB Direct Access MasterCard, Maybankard2Gold Card (AMEX+VISA). Complete three types of cards. |

QUOTE(gerrardling @ May 20 2011, 02:55 PM) I didn't try but my sister was a card holder for PBB and she gave me a supplementary card, we cancelled those cards in March.Yes, she complained how stingy can PBB be, her CL remains the same since her first day of getting the VISA Classic, 11 years ago. While, other banks have already offered Platinum cards to my sister. Citibank auto changed her to platinum and much higher CL. I have seen one of the threads before saying Maybank is also stingy when it comes to CL. So far, CIMB gives better CL. I'll apply for higher CL in July, one year anniversary for my DA. |

QUOTE(sleepwalker_00 @ May 20 2011, 03:07 PM) erm, I feel that higher CL is resulting higher expense, it's a good thing if the bank control the CL for not making cardholders to overspend. Well, eventually it still boils down to the users. I get CC to collect points and make my life easier without carrying lots of cash when want to do shopping. Always spend within your affordability level, then you are safe. |
