Man, I didn't know OCBC is getting stricter on new applications. sad.gif

Actually does anyone know what's the reason one's application gets rejected despite fulfilling their requirements? unsure.gif

I fulfill the income requirements, I have Maybankard2Gold and CIMB DA now, never pay late for my CC bills.

I have installment plan on my CIMB DA which will end next month and of course I have PTPTN loan.

No car, no house yet... Aargh, it will disappoint me if I get rejected by OCBC. I was planning to apply next month after my installment plan with CIMB DA ends. If I get it, I will cancel my CIMB DA which brings no value to me. laugh.gif

What do you expect from Asian strongest bank! I won't even get surprised. Perhaps you can higher chance if you unload CIMB DA from your CCRIS/CTOS. biggrin.gif
*
Yeah, probably I wait till everything is over in CIMB DA and apply it with a peace mind.
My anniversary with CIMB DA is in July, I hope to get OCBC Ti as soon as possible before my CIMB DA reaches its anniversary.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Mar 1 2012, 11:24 PM)
If i am not mistaken, PTPTN loan does not appear in CCRIS.
You not yet submit and already start worrying  doh.gif
Just do it! A very flexible card..

laugh.gif Just to be prepared ma if gets rejected. tongue.gif tongue.gif
I wish to have a MasterCard replaced after I bid farewell to CIMB DA. :

Finally made an effort and clicked on the "apply now" button on OCBC site. Now waiting for its personnel to call me back. tongue.gif If not, I'll have to travel down to the nearest OCBC branch, I think it is the Masjid Jamek branch for me. laugh.gif Let's see how it goes.

Does anybody have experience applying through this channel? Is it fast to get the card after being approved? unsure.gif

Yes, someone contacted me the next day. Request me to send income documents thru email. Then after 1 week or so received approval sms. No hassle at all.
*
Oh cool. Now this is good. smile.gif
I think I just regretted. blush.gif
Anyway, I will tell the personnel when he/she calls. The reason is I'll get a higher increment in April or May, still unsure which month yet but definitely there is one. My boss hasn't concluded yet as I'll be converted to permanent employee soon. My new salary will be more than 48k 50k annually and if I were to apply later, probably my chance of being rejected will be lower. blush.gif
Let's see when the person calls. blush.gif

Yes, I did that during my application. The number is one way call from them only.

You can check using the OCBC Customer Service Hotline : 1 300 88 500 and whoever speak to you, you just say that u want to apply the card and u had missed the call. Normally, the one who speak to you will help u to solve the problem. That is, it is not necessary to find the person who had called u in the 1st place to inform u to submit the application form.

From my experience, the one who call u regarding to submit your application form is NOT necessary the one who assess your application.
*
Not an issue, I can talk to others as well. smile.gif
Probably I'll delay my plan to next month. biggrin.gif

Added on March 14, 2012, 12:22 pmOK, they called me again. laugh.gif
I'm going to provide my documents soon. Good luck to myself. tongue.gif

I though OCBC need to appeal yourself...
Anyway if you meet the requirement I see no reasons why they would reject u. However if you earn less then 3k and binded to the BSN rulling they will reject u. If more, no problem. The same thing happen to me smile.gif
*
The agent that handled my case also said if my application really gets rejected, he will help me to appeal.
I fulfill everything. So, just pray hard now.

will it be the new ruling for annual income less than rm 36k entitle for 2 CC cards from 2 banks only?
*
The problem is annual basic less than 36k will not be entitled for OCBC Ti. Minimum requirement is 36k per annum to qualify for it.
I fulfill, I'm sure others as well. Not sure they use which criteria to judge one's qualification.
Anyway, mine is still in the process so I'm not sure I'll get it or not eventually. smile.gif

the application process gets tougher huh? luckily i applied way earlier when there's not many users..

i dun hav an acc with ocbc, i did not fulfill the salary requirement (almost) that time, but i do get my card approved within a week. well, it has been half a year since i got my card.

good luck for the others..
*
According to the agent, I'll get my card in 2 weeks time if everything goes well.
Luckily he is helpful and pro-active, will update me on the status.

This card really lives up to its reputation. If it is unsuccesful also, you may try contacting one of the salesperson posted above. Get RM50 waiver somemore.

Yeah, really so difficult to get. sweat.gif
