Congrats!!! Now your headache starts on tracking your spending.

Yah, apply directly with the banks, no need agents. Just fax/email in application to the bank the fastest but not all banks allow this e.g. Alliance.
*
The problem is the card was sent to my house address, I'm sure my parents can't sign on my behalf. doh.gif
I can't go back this week due to job commitment. Haiz. Another headache. I couldn't stop them as they already sent it out yesterday... sad.gif I mentioned to the agent to get it sent to my office actually...

Yes, no more agents. I nearly vomit blood due to the waiting time.

If I recall correctly, OCBC TMC by normal mail, not registered mail. Anyway, if you for whatever reason don't or can't get the card after a week. Call CS and ask them to reissue and this time tell them you will collect from the branch nearest to you.
*
Oh, I didn't know it was sent by normal mail because I thought it is the same as CIMB and Maybank. blush.gif
Alright, thanks for your advice. If I don't receive it after a week, will ask them to reissue and I'll collect from Masjid Jamek branch. hmm.gif

Fruitie.. Actually even if secured mail your parents CAN sign on your behalf.. That's least what happened to me when my M2Cards arrived..

And yes.. OCBC TiMC arrived via normal mail.. How insecure can that be.. LOL
*
Good for you, the postman didn't allow my parents to sign on my behalf. I had to go back to hometown and went to the post office to collect. They even need to verify with my I.C. sweat.gif

laugh.gif That's really insecure. tongue.gif But can only be used after activation right?

Yes, you need to call CS to activate the card.
Btw, welcome to Ocbc Titanium club... smile.gif
*
Alright, thanks. smile.gif Yeah, like finally. laugh.gif

QUOTE(shawnk @ May 8 2012, 02:04 PM)
Normally they can sign on behalf of you.
*
But fortunately (or unfortunately) OCBC sent it via snail mail. sweat.gif

They send the paper statement to your address. You can also view the statement at the online banking system.
I dont know about e-statement as I did not select that feature.
*
Spoonfeed me please. I know... sad.gif
But can I get the online banking system when I do not have any account with OCBC? I know there must be a way for that since Maybank allows. hmm.gif

yes, u can. I dont have an account with OCBC. what i did was i go to the counter and ask how to get the internet account. she gave me a small card with instructions with it.
*
OK cool! Is that the only way? I don't really have to visit an OCBC bank to ask for this thing. sweat.gif
No worries, I will check out from online also. biggrin.gif

I don't have any account too.
But through credit card account, we can create an internet banking using the password that sent separately in another mail.

Noted with thanks. biggrin.gif

You will receive your PIN number soon. The letter looks like a payslip, without letterhead, so please do not simply throw away  rolleyes.gif
Once you get your PIN number, you may proceed to OCBC Online and go to First-Time Login.
*
Alright, to be honest. Last time I torn and threw it away because it was to withdraw money using CC which I will not use at all. laugh.gif
OK, will keep an eye this time. tongue.gif

Hey people,

I just started working with no loans or commitment and this is my 3rd month in employment. Additionally, I meet the minimum requirement salary for the titanium card.

Any recommendation on what is the best way to apply for this OCBC titanium card as I am really eyeing for OCBC titanium as my 1st credit card. Should I apply through online, agent or straight from branch? Any help would be much appreciated!!

Thank you.  biggrin.gif

If you fulfill OCBC Ti, get the Maybankard2Gold as well. smile.gif
Don't go for agent, I'm a great classic example. shakehead.gif

QUOTE(jjsia @ May 8 2012, 09:11 PM)
Actually, I am contemplating between Maybank2gold or OCBC titanium as my 1st credit card but i prefer OCBC titanium. Is there any justification to apply both credit cards as I really do not want to pay for 2 RM 50 services tax as I do not have high expenses (eg: <RM1k)? Thx  rclxms.gif
*
hmm.gif I will prefer Maybankard2Gold. smile.gif
Apply two cards then can enjoy 2xRM 50 rebate (assuming you max out RM 2k per month), with Maybankard2Gold you can earn 5x treat points with Maybankard2Gold AmEx. smile.gif
I offset my TP twice for the GST, last year's GST and this year's GST. I also exchanged Harvey Norman's vouchers. biggrin.gif

OCBC Ti is best to complement with Maybankard2Gold/Platinum. That's my opinion la. Whatever it is, good luck in your application!
Bear in mind OCBC is very strict with their application. I fulfill everything and got rejected once. smile.gif

Thx for your reply. I just want to know which method is the preferred method when applying for OCBC card (online, agent or branch). Since fruitie told me about her bad experience with agent, I will rule that out.
*
But well, you might get good agent la. Mine sounded good but somehow I think he failed to help me... sad.gif

Just now only the agent called and informed me my card was approved. shakehead.gif

However he told me I'll get RM 28 rebate for GSC movies, only one time off with OCBC Ti. OK, time to call 2 friends and get 1 ticket free then OCBC will pay for my two tickets. biggrin.gif

This rebate is only for online customers which I'm included in.

I don't know when it started, I think it is the same time as when the promotion free 1 movie ticket started.
laugh.gif I forgot about the MBB2's 10k TP. tongue.gif That was because I was invited which I wasn't aware about. sweat.gif

So basically, I can't trust the agent that you PMed me earlier is it? 3 hours back I sent him sms and within a minute he called using his office phone and asked email address for him to send the application form.

So what is the best way to apply OCBC Ti?
Agent/counter/online?
*
