Mostly is guesswork. Some vendors are obvious to get 5% (like those on the first page)

Jusco 1%?  shocking.gif I thought it is 5% all the while. I bought things at their departmental store, not the supermarket.

Anyway, thanks for the help.

Jusco is usually 1% with OCBC Titanium....

my average spending 1.5k with 7k CL, every month pay on time for half a year.

too bad, i asked for an credit increase last week, and saw a letter on my mailbox last nite from OCBC saying it's declined.  doh.gif
*
You don't really that high CL with OCBC Titanium Mastercard. Once you achieve the max RM50 rebate, you can keep in the drawer till the next Statement cycle.

i think ocbc, should raise the 50 limit, this way people will spend more and not max to get tht amount then stop using tongue.gif
*
Unless they charge merchant fees >5%, OCBC earn 0 from smart customers.
Thus no point increasing the RM50 cap per month

That's why I compliment the OCBC Titanium, with another CC for insurance, that offers unlimited 1% cash back.

I had one transaction under IPAY88 (purchase JackCow coupon) and I realised that they assigned 5% rebate for it.

Maybe IPAY88's MCC code is under Utilities ??!?!?!

p.s. My conclusion is because there's no line item for "1% Cash Rebate" and my 5% did not over achieve RM50.

Something interesting. I inquired about this matter and the CS explained and give me this example:

My statement is 12 July to 12 August. If a purchase is made on August (a new month), before the statement date, and its 5% rebate is RM1.23, it will be rounded up to RM1.20. I will get the balance RM0.03 in the next cycle.
*
That's definitely news... not sure if it's correct.
Either way, as I keep max the RM50 per month, so it doesnt really matter. icon_idea.gif rclxm9.gif

IPAY88 - sometime i get 5% sometime 1% dont know how they differentiate

Maybe the JackCow coupon I bought was Dining related which gets 5% rebate.
This is a To-Be-Confirmed type of transaction.

I patronised a Chinese medicine shop in Bandar Puteri Puchong 2 months ago. I cannot remember the name of the shop but it is located near the public library. The shop also sells some groceries. My transaction was given 5% cash back.

It was me... and it's an un-confirmed 5%. Maybe you can try and update this thread.

That was when the Supermarket was separated from the Dept Store.

As of today re-opening, both Supermarket and Dept Store is housed together like in Midvalley, Sunway, etc, so it could be possible that they have consolidated the Credit Card terminals under a single MCC code.

As for spending at Jusco, better to use Maybankard2 AMEX on weekend
