hi josenigel,

this is the link :

http://www.mediafire.com/?si659w0w9d9pt40 ; password is : malaysia

1) this is actually the official froyo rom for malaysia.

2) therefore, after you've flashed this rom, it is actually froyo. (but we need its baseband)

3) then you flash again to cyanogen 7.1 v 0.4. and then immediately flash the hotfix 0.4 (the baseband won't change , ie. it'll still be I5503DXJP6 baseband)

enjoy and goodluck, bro!

Thank you bro rclxms.gif

Added on June 15, 2011, 11:38 pmwhen you say immediately, after flashing 7.1 is flashed it will reboot. Do I shut it down and flash the fix?

1) flash 7.1 , do data wipe and then reboot.

2) after the phone reboot, that means it switch back on again, then you off it.

3) disconnect your cable and close odin.

4) connect back your cable and open odin again.

5) flash the hotfix 0.4 like you flash 7.1

6) then use the phone's terminal emulator , type "su" and allow it. then type "mad2sd on" to enable apps2sd. then off your phone and on back again.

Done.

After a day of using Cyanogen 7.1 I've encountered these 2 problems
1. Phone will not reboot or turn on when I hit Reboot and Turning off. I have to remove battery.

2. Same as zam_changloon Camera360 need to disable auto focus or else it will force close

Beyond that, GPS locks fast outdoors, phone is very responsive.

Any idea as to the not being able to reboot? Should I re-flash?

same with me. just use fast reboot app as mentioned by curioso (he's a great and helpful guy...will buy him a meal if he comes to seremban). but i never reboot. i just switch it off and then on it back again, it's the same.

glad that everything works okay for your phone now.

btw, i'm very satisfy with this cyanogen 7.1 considering our G5 is a low end android phone and we can still have gingerbread 2.3 in cyanogen's rom.  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

Thx for your that smile.gif
I am glad with the overall experience right now. I just re-flashed and everything seems fine now thumbup.gif
I will never sell my G5 even if I decide to buy a new phone. This tiny little package can do soooo much rclxms.gif
And yes, curioso has been very helpful from the beginning to all of us, kudos bro rclxm9.gif

if you use other app like fast reboot. reboot works. no need to reflash.. most people encounter this.

i encounted my first big issue this morning. Im using CM 7.1 version 05. I almost fully charged my phone last night and went to bed with the alarm on. I did leave the "Use GPS satellites" tab on - Under Location and Security. Woke up with a shocked face. My phone's battery was completely drained and shut down.

Any idea as to why? I never had this issue since i flashed to this mod sad.gif

@ Max 729MHz - no sleep issue, no auto reboots, no wifi sleep issues (wifi auto disconnect)

@ Min 245MHz - no video/songs/youtube lags, skype conversations smooth and clear.

I 've tried many other settings, but either have sleep issues/auto reboots/wifi sleep issues or video/songs/youtube lags. So these are the best settings which works well for me - smooth, fast and no lags...and most important it is stable.

Another thing is that I set my governor to ONDEMAND. I've tried POWERSAVE, but this settings makes my skype conversation lags and barely audible. But also it saves battery.

yea i'd have to agree. i did the same settings as alex and so far all is well. no issue what so ever. this version is by far the best so far...for me rclxms.gif

had the same problem a couple of weeks back and followed option b as alex suggested then. It worked! so if option a doesn't work b will definitely work. rclxms.gif

only issue is, you got to flash back to Malaysia official rom if you want to keep the baseband doh.gif

I am noticing that when i use my camera it is flickering with CM v.0.9 and hotfix1. Anyone else has this issue or just me hmm.gif

ok after playing around with the 'Govenors' switching from ondemand to powersave, it does not flicker anymore but video recording is still bad (for me) blush.gif

Hi Alex, thx for all your sharing and info rclxms.gif
have you tested video recording? I find that it's much pixelated than before during the Froyo mods. Also when I set the Govenor to Ondemand, I tend to see some flickering on the screen especially in bright lit areas like outdoor and even in my office. When I switch to Powersave, the flicker goes away.

Just tested video recording.... quality as normal like in froyo stock rom. As for the Governor setting for video, I used Smartass just now. But all the while (before hotfix2b), I use Ondemand and I don't experience the flickering as you mention.

alright, thx for the reply alex. i am not sure what's wrong with it but i guess i have to live with it then sad.gif
