It does... coz it doesnt restrict air flow to the engine unlike the ori...

imagine u running in the forest area in morning... air is fresher.... same principle...

my snorkel is made by fiber, but vox photo shown is PP moulded, check both price before buy, if do not want the plastic cover, PP moulded will look nicer

1. The air intake snorkel - which is the part with a big hole in front and is connected to the air filter box - 1 pc (the big "snake" at the back, as per pic below)


There is no installation included (but u can join us at TT and we can help to fit in... easy DIY) and there is no cutting of holes on the engine cover plastic (the pic below)


This part is shipped from Vox from JB on as is basis.... and I am only a mediator in the Group Buy, am not a reseller or making profit from this, its just that I have a lazy bunch of frens who are interested in getting this item.


There is a second item in the first pic, the scoop cover... i can ask Vox to include the item but any interested buyer need to indicate if you want only the snorkel or scoop cover, or BOTH...

abit of caution, do u all know that at high speed there are areas behind the bumper that are almost vacuum? looking at the grill placement relative to the bumper, it's actually quite hidden.

the cover mods your intake to a 'somewhat' CAI system and i've never seen a CAI system placed like that before. the stock intake system when there is low air flowing up from the grill, it can still suck air from the engine compartment. this one when there isn't enough air coming up it has no where to suck air, your engine is going to loose hp.

i'm not saying it won't work, cause if that grill area deos get heavy air flow then this is a very good and cheap mod.

anyone actually try this at high speed and get power gains?

anyone tried takin out the snorker,or make it shorter? cover the side frm engine to avoid suck in warm/hot engine air. shud be ok rite?

The snorkel cover is not a perfect fit.

Better confirm with vox as the last time i went to JB, the cover is langer in size (made for lancer GT). Inspira original snorkel smaller in size compared to lancer gt

That's why we should buy the cover only if we buy the snorkel hehe.
