sending my car to service later. Just to confirm, 4.2l only right for the engine oil? So should have some leftover?

i juat finished my 10k service. actually i went early, as my mileage was only 7800km. but after service, when the engineer wanted to reset my next service reminder, they cannot do it.
after refering to EON, they say, it must be closer to the service mileage or mth, before it can be reset. therefore, they asked me to go again when the service reminder is closer, so that they can reset it. currently, 3100km to go. is that normal for others here? |

QUOTE(ckk125 @ Apr 21 2011, 06:49 PM) just tried it...i change to gcc10, my meter now 7800, time to service 2200. i try to clear, and it did clear. but is just say maintenance required.after i see that warning, what else shud i do? cause i set it back to gcc10, or nas10, it will go back to 2200/5mths for service. can we reset the service interval, or still need proton to reset it? Or, do i need to wait till my 2200km is up, the warning come up, then only i clear it? This post has been edited by fremont88: Apr 21 2011, 07:34 PM |

QUOTE(lee0125 @ Apr 22 2011, 10:42 AM) i went to this during my 1k service, not far from your place. The only thing that i dont like is they did not give me back my left over 0.8 liter of engine oil. Remember to "remind" them before you pass them your key. its better if you can talk to the foreman, u can remind them urself to give back the oil, like what i did yesterday. He put it on my passenger seat floor.http://worldcarcare.com.my/WorldCarCare.html |

QUOTE(apache_utara @ Apr 23 2011, 05:57 PM) Was it 4mil?Added on April 23, 2011, 6:17 pm QUOTE(Matrix @ Apr 23 2011, 05:17 PM) hmm, our other bros here say front/back security tint too. I cannot confirm or deny 100%, maybe u can call proton or ecotint to double cfm. cause i ask many tint shops before i changed, all of them say front/back is never security tint, cause the glass is already thick enough.anyway, my main reason to change tint was not because of the front/back no security tint, i just wanted a cooler car with higher IRR %. its working well though. QUOTE(Matrix @ Apr 27 2011, 06:15 AM) i think 50 is too heavy, maybw xw40 is enuff. The first digit(for cold temp) doesn't matter, coz it ain't gonna snow in Mareisha....maybe other owners can share....anyway, i am going to use semi-synth oil by Petronas anyway...coz it comes free with the package...LOL. tks. fyi, petronas is 15w50.I think unless you always rev kaw-kaw and do 200km/h most of the time, semi-synth should be fine. |

QUOTE(Matrix @ May 3 2011, 07:16 AM) Still can wan...tell him to give you discount or you go to their showroom every weekend to wreck havoc and ensure all his potential customers knows. Also threaten to put his name and branch in lowyat.net and facebook so that everyone knows he don't give discounts. Genting - Yes, manually up/down, I used paddle last time....Added on May 3, 2011, 10:04 amNow i got a question. I am hoping to go up Genting after 1K service. Since this car don't have '1','2' etc on the gearbox like my old Auto car...means i have to manually downshift the gears when going downhill to drag the car? btw, the word 2.0 P at the back...the 'P' seems to be slanted a bit...is it normal?? 2.0 P - Yes, slanted, like italic....i took it all off, 2.0p as well as Inspira... |
