Hi, I would just like to inquire for a paper I'm writing.. If i enroll myself in an overseas university to continue my studies for Part II, but later after completing my studies i find out that the university is not recognized by LAM for Part II. What should I for to achieve LAM part II recognition if my school is not recognized for Part II?

From what my friends tell me, I have to take an exam(?) but other than that are there any other requirements/steps I need to take(?).

Technically, i cant imagine a situation where u can "suddenly" find out the programme is unaccredited. U can check the accreditation now before u leave to study there. So u should know what u r getting into.

But assume u do come home with an unaccredited degree, then yes, u will need to sit for the exam. You have to have all works done during ur studies ready, and i do mean everything, including group assignments and stuffs. Then ensure ur portfolio is up to date.

Then go to LAM and register urself for the exam. They'll instruct u on what to do next.
Thanks! Your name sounds familiar.

Yea, this is just a hypothetical situation, haha. I'm just being asked what to do in order to achieve LAM Part II recognition for graduates of non-recognized school. There is one more thing I would like clarified. In "4.0. Common Paths to Studying Architecture" I see LAM Part I and Part II exam listed in the chart.

So basically:
4.0 Chart's LAM Part I exam=Part I & II exam on LAM's website and
4.0 Chart's LAM Part II exam=Part III on LAM's website ??

Unfortunately I'm getting myself confused with the whole Part I, II and III categories.. sweat.gif Also thanks a bunch for taking time to answer my question icon_rolleyes.gif

the chart's part I and II corresponds to LAM's parts I and II.
the part III exam is not featured in my chart. it is only eligible AFTER 2 years of practice as graduate architect.

Ah ok i see. So referring to the chart, if one does their Part I studies in an accreditated university but does their Part II at an unaccreditated university, then he/she only has to take the Part II test and need not take the Part I examination? Also, what is usually tested in these exams?
