Hi, nice guide but i have some questions tongue.gif

I was told that even if i take the 5 years B.Archi from LUCT and during the 5 years if i decided to transfer to Curtin and finish my degree there, the degree that i hold is still not recognized by LAM/PAM and i was advised to just pursue my B. Archi straight from some Uni in Australia that their degree is recognized by LAM/PAM. Is this true? Help please~~~ icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

One more question,
Even if the degree i hold is not recognized by LAM/PAM, if i decided to work outside of Msia, eg: Singapore & Australia. It wont be a problem right?

Thank biggrin.gif

i'm still using archsoc, for the lack of other rankings present.
i. yes. LAM do not recognize twinning programmes. what u should do at least is finish ur part 1 degree in LUCT, then continue for part 2 in curtin. but even so, LAM in its new proposal will also no longer recognize ANY overseas universities automatically. although it's not written now, the wheels are already set in motion and will be tabled at the cabinet soon.

this is due to the resistance of overseas schools to allow LAM to come in and review their schools. so all LAM could do is sit back and wait for the graduates to come in. due to the various number of schools with very, very different systems, it's better to host the examination locally in malaysia, only for those who are interested to work here.

it's easier, as u dont have to worry about the recognitions. but yeah, the exams gonna be a little harder.

Actually, you do not have to worry about recognition even if you work in Malaysia.
Recognition matters only if you plan to practice on your own, as in setting up your own architectural firm.

Hello,
One question, for the 6 months working experience after the accredited part 1, does it have to be an architecture firm or a consultancy firm that is related to the field of architecture will do?

Thanks

UTM had just closed the intake for February. So the advertisement and application for September intake will usually be open again some time in April/May. The interview is usually in July/Aug

Hi Mr Azarimy,

Does the September intake includes the Johor Bahru campus?

Thanks in advance

Pesisir (Part-time) intakes are all in KL, opens for Feb and Sept every year.

Just to be clear wink.gif.
