Hello, I am going to start my degree in Architecture very soon.

One thing I was wondering is that will I have time to spare for my social life ie. my boyfriend? Will the hectic workload affect my relationship? How much time will I have for him?

Other than that, how much free time do I have outside university (without the work) on average per day? Will I have at least 3 hours of time to spare in a day to spend time with my pet?

HI there. I'm in my 1st year in postgraduate (master) architecture studies in Curtin University, Perth, Australia.

Architecture do consume MOST of your time especially middle of the semester on ward. In term of your relationship, your boyfriend MUST FULLY understand that during the time of the weeks before submission, you MAY NOT have time to have a date out. Hell you might not even have time for your every own family.

When it comes to design courses, it will take up most of your time

If you are be able to have 6 hour sleep then you are consider lucky to have it.

Free time is depends how you manage your time.

Time management is all about in architecture field. you need to priorities your time for your assignment.

A little summary of your 3 years degree course.

1st Year: 50% coursework & 50% exam
2nd Year: 70% coursework & 30% exam
3rd Year: 100% Coursework

FYI: coursework as in studio work.

any further question can just hit me
