Hello,

A friend of mine graduated from UIAM with a first degree honor in Architecture. He's worked for roughly less than two years oversea and his boss is very well satisfied as far as I can see. He's planning to further study in Deakin University, Australia, so I advised him to take direct PhD instead of Master. Would that be recommended ? He'll be sponsored by his company to further study.

What ? Does this mean direct PhD is longer than doing master followed by PhD ?

You might need one, but most of my friends doing Architecture, just sleepover their studio doing their work.

In my opinion, high end and mid gaming laptop won't vary that much in its output since most of graphic cards (Geforce and Radeon series) in gaming laptop aren't well equipped for rendering purpose. Unless you use PC and able to get one of FirePro or Quadro series graphic card, even a USD149 would do much better , but for encoding, definitely i7 processor would do great since encoding rely heavily on the CPU.

Read reviews on graphic cards that are equipped for architecture work, you might change your mind.

And does this have anything to do with the case you were reviewing a while ago ?

If the university u're applying to categorize their part II as a bachelor degree, then u'll have to apply through UPU. But if ur university u're applying to categorize their part II as a master degree, then u can apply directly to the university post graduate office (mostly). So far, only UTM and UiTM offer master degree for part II.
