If you were to make comparison between Ace and S or even SL.
The main diff other than what u stated will be their screen ( normal lcd vs sAmoled / sLcd, resolution ( 320x 480 vs 480 x 800 ), processing speed ( 800mhz vs 1ghz ), the graphic chip ( powervr vs adreno ), internal memory of few hundred Mb vs Gbs , 15fps worthless recording vs 720p recoding... etc.
Basically S or SL pwn an Ace easily. Except that Ace have LED flashlight while S have no.
If you really have the budget, i would advise going for S or SL.
There are some apps that Ace won't be able to handle perfectly, but things are a lot more unlikely for S or SL, Galaxy S is 2010 high end's android after all.

Nope not a hardcore multimedia user just sometime I will put video into my phone and watch it when I was free ! Since the N900 serve me well on the video and music no complain on that so do wish that this phone can too

Unless you frequently change ur phone, if not is better to invest a lil bit more so the phone last longer.
And i'm pretty sure galaxy S/SL will last longer than Ace, let it be performance or future update, samsung high end phones tend to get more update than lower end one.

What I can recommend is to get thru Samsung dealers, like mine has 2 yrs official warranty sumore. They can't sell above the RRP.

BTW the dealer just auto install ehem papago for me, without root so i'm pretty sure no need to root

I think you'll be better off with SGA. The LED flash will always comes in handy than the extra 200MHz processor. If your main intention is to play games, you should aim for 1Ghz as 800Mhz will lag too.

can we change the installation from phone memory to sd card???

Better top up further aiming for those dual core HP.
