Added on March 11, 2011, 3:58 pmad this phone for about 3 weeks, then I sold it and bought Samsung Galaxy i9003 a few days ago. Here are the reasons why -

1. Battery Life - Very very very very poor.. i had to recharge twice a day!! (With Galaxy i9003 and same usage, I charge once in 2 days!)

2. RAM - In the beginning, when the Ace has no apps.. it is nice and smooth. Once you start loading apps, the phone becomes laggy... and my phone started to HANG often! (Galaxy i9003 has 512mb RAM... never lags)

3. Games - LAGGY!! Any game that requires a little more GPU than Angry Birds, will lag!! The Adreno 200 GPU is not enough to deal with good games. (Galaxy i9003 never lags in any game I have played so far)

4. WiFi - Random errors occur during the WiFi connection, and the phone must be restarted. My friends also have had the same experience with their Ace.

5. Video Recording - You can buy a 500 Rs. pen camera that takes better video!! Quality is very poor. (Galaxy i9003 has 720p HD Video recording)

6. 800Mhz.. but ARM processor!! - This is a very old processor that was used 2-3 years ago. That's why it takes long to open some apps. (Galaxy i9003 has a newer 1Ghz Cortex A8 processor)

7. LCD Display Quality - Not so great on Ace. Low resolution, and very pixelated when you look carefully (Galaxy i9003 has a higher resolution 4" screen which is even better than HTC Desire HD screen)

8. Network connection - People who use Ace find that sometimes they are not able to receive calls even though they have a full network signal. Strange.

9. Front facing camera - Not present in Ace Can't do video calls. (Galaxy i9003 has a front facing cam)

i just go ask many shops , in melaka , most of them are out of stock but they are selling below 999 , and some still got stock .

Yup.. same problem with my 5800.. sudden death too but very rare... i think most of the phone out there having this problem too. maybe apps problem.

I ask at Dataran Phalawan. Most of the shop sold out , but you when to the upper floor of the DP.. (i think 'IG mobile' the shop name
still have stock , and they sell RM999 . Then I went to Makota Parade , SenQ (SengHeng) they only sell RM999 too with 3 years warranty.

Yea! Dont buy from anyone selling above RM999 and they only provide 1 year warranty , you can get 3 year warranty if you buy at SenQ .

I will try work for a 'Clockworkmod' after i get my own SGA (Now using my brother one) which will allow you to install custom ROM..

it is an app with a very friendly ui that allows root users to do various things. The first and most important would be flashing a recovery image. With this you are able to create a nandroid backup of your current rom should something you do crashes or bricks your phone. This would be done through the recovery menu, you can get there through clockworkmod or simply power off the phone then press both volume keys while pressing the power button. The other thing it allows is the installation of custom roms, like CM6.x, which is the developers, koush, custom rom.

or maybe Android 2.3 on SGA... LOL .. ==" i think we need to install 'ubuntu64' before compiling the script ... and i cant do this all alone.. need someone know how to code this language .

UPPDATE :

anyone dare to try the ' Rom Manager ' ?

Go To The Market & Install "ROM Manager" Open That App, Select Flash Recovery, Confirm, Then Go To Install From SdCard.

Select The Unrevoked-Forever Zip, (Make Sure It's Put On The Main Directory Of Your SdCard)
Next I Believe It Will Bring You To Your New Recovery Screen!!

*Note* Recovery Menu Can Be Accessed By Powering Off, Then Powering Back On While Holding Volume Down, Once The Phones On Press The Home Button To Get Into Recovery!

hmm.. but there are no custom ROM out there yet.. we need to make it.. or wait for xDA ppl to make it.
(I dont know this will works or not) NOT TESTED on SGA

Yay! at last i got my own Ace ^^ for RM1050 ...

a long story today... i went to so many shops tpday... and the Samsung Dealer Shops tell me that Retail price is RM1199 and now they got promotion RM999 but they dont have stock... after i heard that i walk away... =.=' RM1199.. LOL!

then at last i found a shop got the SGA black and they sell RM950 , so i ask another shop (they sell RM930 but no stock) to get the RM950 SGA phone .

RM950 -> SGA
RM100 -> 8GB (Class 4) *I cant find Class 6 so i get class 4 ... actual price RM167*
RM0 -> iPhone 3Gs Screen Protector *Not yet open... still using the original provided temp SP with samsung words on it. I dont dare to trim it...*

Total : RM1050

I think i got cheated...

anyone know how to connect the phone as mass storage? i want to put things into the memory card.. i dont have card reader..

There are no such things... he lied to you.. All SGA come out from factory is version 2.2.1 ...

here the apps i'm using now.. there are more apps but i dont like it and i uninstall it...

Cordy - Not able to install
Need for Speed - Not able to play
Guns Bros - Not able to play , stuck at game play section

All the apps that you downloaded (even not supported) can be install to SD card for me... Except some system tools i let it be in Phone memory ... i use 'Move2SD enabler Pro' <- it force the apps to install on SD card
