Will this work on Ace ?

count me in black, bought on 4/3/11.

wanna share my first experience buying a 'smartphone'.

my wife using iphone 3gs for the last 4 month. n i'm used to playing with it. but decided to go for an android as its customisable (yeah! im guilty to be the tech freak ).

first introduce to o1 in end of jan and doing some research on it ever since wit intention to buy one soon until the night of 2/3/11. accidentally clicked on a link comparing o1 wit this ace n my first impression is 'wow!! nice iphone like'. however my heart still wit o1 as there's so much tweak tips cud be found in the net.

until the shopping day came. cant found o1 anywhere near my place (im not the type who like to travel far). instead this one shop showing me her last ace stock and its the first time i saw it wit my own eyes. i know its kinda rush decision but i agreed to bought it for rm960 (coz by the time i'm testing the phone which is the only one left around, theres this only fellow asking to buy one as well). btw, i almost missed the 2gb sdcard which shud come wit is, as the seller somehow dunno there shud be one in it. instead he said the phone comes wit 2gb internal. but after he check wit his partner he giveup n give me one. lucky me i do my homework.

love it so far as it is my first smartphone. theres always something to do with it

as for performance wise, cant say much as this is my first smartphone/android. one thing for sure i like mine more compared to my wife 3gs

battery life:
just found out i shud charge it until this little blue icon pops up in the left hand side on the status bar. then i cud get the 12+ (unplug it in the morning n by midnite +-20% juice left) with emails, games, wireless, browsing + calls n smses ...
not yet test max life wit calls n smses only. as a newbie, its darn to hard to stop playing wit it

** prep myself for next step -> rooting. still much to consider tho. do i really need it? for time being maybe just go wit rd33 solution on intalling apps on sd first to free up some internal storage.

but the seng heng does't free you the 2 gb SD and alot of branch have no ready stock on this , and there sales person basically no nothing on this

the 2gb is standard package in the box. Unless the staff "telan" the 2gb, then no choice.
But hey, it's suppose to be n the box. If not, ask to talk to the branch manager.

Just now hear my fren said that he asked for the Ace on last weekend at Mines...the sales man told him they got 1 more stock left which price with RM1099

Salesman : the stock which price is RM999 less a lot of accessories and it is just have the phone and charger only...if u get RM1099 package, it will include anything... lol

damm... he is a penipu besar

today i went to 3(!) shopping malls in Penang. Prangin Mall, Gurney and BJ complex.

All out! Got money also cannot buy (tho I saw a few units at SenQ) cos I wanted to trade in my antique P1i....sigh

After reading the posts here, there is 1 conclusion - NEVER BUY HANDPHONES AT MINES.

will ace user facing battery usage issue ?? drain fast ??

tat fellow is from Samsung Mobile Authenticated dealer company...

from yesterday fully charged @ 8pm until now with wireless, browsing, massive angry bird , tweak apps settings, go markets download tons of apps, sms and a few calls, my battery left 41% stated in mini info..

For me I dont think it drain fast, make sure u off wifi , 3g, data plan, gps, bluetooth when u dun need it.

to download file from ur pc to phone over internet u all can try Awesome drop...

i got it from the garage sales.. i bought it rm950 with 8gb card.

yup.. i bought the seller called sunny. i think the price just increased after i get my phone.

Sunny got pm too when im finding but in the end i buy from moon. Well, with that price, very worth seriously.

If i buy galaxy ace from a seller without shop, can i go to Samsung Mobile Authorized Dealer to claim warranty ?

it was worth. but i was so worry.
i bank in 2 him on friday and i receive it on wednesday..
i was planning 2 buy from her too.. but she said no stock. so i bought from sunny.

No stock but u can book =)
