It's marketing gimic to make it look cheap

30 seconds block means 30 seconds

So 1 minute of your call is 60 seconds block so it's 20 cents/min

really? is different telco have different meaning of charging block? just check with digi websites they define charging block in different meaning than maxis hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

can anyone explain wat means by charge block? ask maxis live chat said my plan call rate is 10cent/minute at 30sec/block.. wat is it mean actually?ask maxis but still confusing
*
10 cents/minute at 30 sec/block means 5 cents per 30 sec.
which means, once connected no matter you talk for 1 sec or 30 sec, the charge is 5 cents.
in order to maximise it, always talk close to 30 sec but don't over 30 sec.

for example, you talked for 10 minutes 29 sec and you talked for 10 minutes 1 sec is the same charges.
you talked for 5 minutes 58 sec is same charges as you talked for 5 minutes 31 sec.

Starting from 8th January 2014, LTE services will be ready for our Hotlink customers.

How can I enjoy 4G LTE speed?

Purchase an LTE enabled device (if you don't already own one)
Subscribe to our Mobile Internet Monthly 1GB (RM30) or Mobile Internet Monthly 3GB (RM68) Plan
You must have an LTE-enabled SIM (Micro-SIM or Nano-SIM)
Ensure APN is set to UNET through *136#
