i hope they can emulate what chelsea did last season.out of competition early and focus on EPL instead.keep on marching until the final day!

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ Mar 14 2011, 10:48 AM)
without Arsene Wenger who know what might happen to Arsenal FC. The trend of sacking manager every 6 months in professional football league is mind blowing, the latest victim is Hamburg SV's manager, sometime the boards expect thing too much like the Venkys. I'm glad Arsenal board of directors fully supportive of Arsene Wenger, no sacking rumours after trophyless for 5 seasons. I don't understand, most club out there probably want Arsene Wenger to become their manager. Yet some of Arsenal fans want him out because lack of trophies. Fans must widen their view, when a manager sacked there are lots of thing need to rebuild from scratch.
*
it's hard to think what will our next manager after arsene will do to the team.this team is build around arsene's philosophy,style and tactics.if wenger goes,the next manager will probably reinvent the whole team.

i agree with toshio14 that the talk of whether arsene still good or not for us is valid.while the team around us changing their way to adapt certain tactics,arsene is either too stubborn to change his tactic or failed to get the tactic working.we have seen so many times,teams changing their tactic when they're against us but we didn't change it to counter the opponent's tactics.never the less,i still believe in arsene and the team just like how he believes in his players. smile.gif

QUOTE(g_pentium @ Mar 14 2011, 11:36 AM)
Eboue is a good crosser like wat ivanua88 said,but leaves a big space behind.But i always prefer Sagna because he is much calmer and robust and very had to body him over from opponent player,but he is certainly a big no for crossing.This is where is where Walcott is missed,he provides efficient crosses to strikers.When walcott out missing,we get inefficient crosses from Sagna.I think that what left us to depend on Nasri for most of the time.But that eboue cross was an epic one. notworthy.gif

I think we did win them after that unforgettable match,but the last was Nasri's brace at Emirates against Manu
*
sagna and eboue's crosses are too high and often goes to the far post instead of the center while walcott's crosses are short and direct towards the center.to compare between sagna and eboue,i often see sagna's crosses are wild and instinctive while eboue's are well picked.

I got this over the internet. I am not sure whether the guy that posted this is an Arsenal fan or what but I do think he is frustrated and somewhat has valid points.

i know,it's easy to blame people.but his reasoning of why arsene is "the best" *sarcasm* is not acceptable for me.

I don't know man, if Rooney could come up with 'excuses' when the team was winning left, right and center why can't those players that aren't winning anything? You can't discount that. You have to feel for the players. Maybe they can endure 2-3 seasons of barren spells but eventually they will get tired of it. Can you blame them?

On mental strength, I do think it is Arsene's fault for not sticking with players that have vast experience in most of the competitions. These kind of players could lead younger generations to be successful on and off the pitch.
*
are you replying to my post?

if so,it's not that i blame the players solely because of the trophyless season but it's the match itself.take a look at the matches that he mentioned.they were mostly due to the players fault.conceded needless penalty,soft goals,defensive errors and such.all can be prevented if the players keep their focus on the game.

QUOTE(SGSuser @ Mar 14 2011, 11:09 PM)
true...but methinks what he meant was that, erm.....so it's the player's fault, but the manager brought him to the club and trusted him to do the job and he didnt do well(at times), so the manager is partly to be blamed too...
*
well,at the end of the day,the players are the ones that are playing on the field.no?

look at arshavin and chamakh.both were signed with high expectation.both started well.scoring goals and such but suddenly suffering from drop of form.complaining about lack of energy,getting bruises week in and week out.who's to blame?bendtner for all the cocky talks.he scored some,he missed more.

i feel bad to the players for saying this but it's a fact.they should know that they are playing for top team that's chasing trophy every year.not some minnows who only aim to be in the mid-table or surviving in the premier league.

1) RVP10 - when he's on the pitch,any team in the world would want a striker like him.a striker who can score from any angle,in any way.but when he's gone,he'll be gone almost forever.

2) MC29 - at the start of the season,he looks like a fantastic signing for us.but his form has been dropping.coincidentally it happens when RVP was back with us.at the moment,i don't mind him playing tag team with RVP.when one of them is out,the other will step up.

3)NB52 - his first touch is poor.but his finishing sometimes reminds me of henry.lately always seen him drifting wide to get the ball.this is crucial.if he plays as second striker,should be ok but if he's playing in targetman role,the penalty box will be empty.if he can do drift wide-cut inside-score everytime he did it,no problem but sometimes he over did or missed it.worse thing is if the GK parried it but no one will take the rebound.i'll say keep on playing him in the flanks as long as we have our target man.

4)AA23 - hardworking indeed.when we need someone to chase the ball upfront,he'll always be there.but sometimes he just can't click together with the other players especially bendtner.his judgement also baffles me sometime.reminds me of the young walcott (or probably walcott himself).he is very easy to fall.very weird to think as his center of gravity is the lowest compare to others.

5) TW14 - we certainly missed him especially during barca game when we need him to outrun the barca defenders.he's definitely one of the most improved player this season.

6) CV11 - im hoping the loan could do him good.he'll get the playing times he needed.i can't see him replacing andy or nasri on the left for now but im hoping next season,when we need him,he'll step up and give all he got.

To be honest, Hernandez is good.. just like u cannot take C.Ronaldo can compare to all same age player like Ronaldo... then u tell people ur lame theory.. what same age same big club...

Bendtner need to polish, not ready product.. he is a striker but all his appearance this season as right wing..

u take a right wing compare to a striker.. lame enough liao lor.. why dun u take Fabianski compare with Rooney?...
(maybe we can support u abit)

As a asst manager, dun u know the diff striker and right wing?.. lame lor

I don't see NB52 gonna  be a star striker in Arsenal. Perhaps he can do better in MU. Wenger should consider swapping NB52 for Chicarito

Are u saying NB52 not good enough for MU?
*
that's not what i meant.saying we do a swap deal with MU is like saying you're going to be arsenal player next season. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Casanova88 @ Mar 16 2011, 08:06 PM)
NB52:
GAMES= 11
GOALS =  2
ASSISTS = 1
SHOTS = 14
Chicarito:
GAMES= 20
GOALS =  10
ASSISTS = 1
SHOTS = 37

By average Chicarito have more goals & shots on target for every game he played. I am so sorry to see NB52 is not as good as Chicarito but no worries he got next season.
*
if you love chicarito so much you can go to MUST and worship him there.

IF MU beat Chelsea, we will play either Schalke or Inter. so the only time we will meet Real if its in the Final. For Real to reach final, they of course have to beat Tott, and them meet either Shakhtar or Barca.

I think the above is best to describe the ties from now on tongue.gif

so that's the route huh? hmm.gif

wow.now that you've said it,i just noticed it.we conceded less 1 goal than united.so where's the problem now? hmm.gif

and to think that united can field a full team playing in the physio room,why do we still blame for the injuries in our key players?united lost two of their best CBs as well.why can't we sit at the top of the league?

something is wrong here.. hmm.gif

winning attitude? almunia keep shaking his head after conceded the first goal...
*
i don't know man.sometimes,it's easy to point out where's the mistake for arsenal but in the other times,it's quite puzzling judging the squad we have compared to the others.winning attitude?i don't think we're lacking it.if we are,the result of last weekend won't be 2-2.

QUOTE(ivanau88 @ Mar 21 2011, 08:32 PM)
So are you happy when the team conceded lesser goal than united? So of the goals conceded were totally unnecessary and not acceptable
*
not that im happy.like what minority said,there's not much to complain about for our so called defensive frailties.we are no different than the league leader.

I wanna go to Emirates as well! Kim Hoong lets make a gathering to go to the Emirates and watch a match. Didn't get to go when I went to London last time. Everyone just prepare about RM10k will probably be enough for one week (including RM3.4-3.8k for the 2 way flight) then we can meet our LYN gooners in UK as well. we can visit other nice scenery places like water loo, piccadily circus at night, the lake near convent garden iirc, harrods at night... or we can go to stamford bridge, WHL and even old trafford, Anfield etc... Those who like opera can go to their cheaper opera at night, only 50 GBP per show....  not too professional but still good.  thumbup.gif

shocking.gif need rm10k for what.go emirates only enough for me. tongue.gif
