There's a shop in Mines selling those too. I was like @$@$@#@$ when I saw them, hehe. $19.90 for HammerFall's Chapter V album when I paid $70 for the same album from Amazon :____:

Anyway, here are the albums available:
HammerFall - Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken (aweswome album. Get it for the final song with Kronos from Venom)
Nightwish - Once (Don't really like this album, but Dark Chest of Wonders is nifty. Sounds too much like Yanni with guitars though)
Stratovarious - Stratovarius (This is their latest album, not their first despite the title)
Avenged Sevenfold - City of Evil (A7X's latest album, very nu-metalish.)
ManOwaR - Louder Than Hell (GET THIS ONE! Hail the almighty ManOwaR! Hail hail hail and Kill!!!)
In Flames - The Jester Race and Clayman (need I say anything? Classics, get 'em if you don't have 'em)

There are a few more albums, but I can't remember their names. Anyway, are those albums originals? I'm quite skeptical coz...$19.90 is damn cheap imo. And noticed that most of the albums are Nuclear Blast albums? That pisses me off because no Blind Guardian albums were available!

According to online reviews, CC sounds closer to Clayman than the previous two albums and a few tracks are Jester Race quality. Good news? Until someone gets the album, I'm keeping my hopes high for a good In Flames album.

Bloody good news indeed!!!

everybody seems to be talking about goth-ish metalbands nowadays....

is there anybody who still listen to real metal songs without any type of keyboard, organ, synthesizer, piano etc?

i'm talking about death metal, thrash metal kind of stuffs here... pure guitar, bass and drums only

I don't think there are any metal bands that play without at least using synths. Even Iron Maiden used synths since their Somewhere in Time album and continued with that trend. I'm more of a power metal fan here so I can't say for sure about the other subgenres in metal.

Anyway, I managed to get an mp3 copy of Come Clarity from a guildmate of mine (before you guys go ballistic, I will be ordering the disk so stop hounding me biggrin.gif ). Overall verdict, very interesting music from In Flames. It's definately better than the R2R and STUE but I wouldn't say the style is back to the old IF's from the Whoracle/Colony era. It's more of a cross between Clayman with dibs on R2R and Jester Race. The guitar work ain't that complex (sounds like trash metal imo) but the melodic tunes of the older albums can be found in many tracks. I haven't listened it many times yet so I can't comment on individual tracks, but my favs are:

Take This Life
Reflect The Storm
Crawl Through Knives
Versus Terminus
Our Infinite Struggle
Your Bedtime Story is Scaring Everyone

Come Clarity has been leaked over the Internet about a month before i think, if u have Streamyx and use BT, then u'll know what I'm talking abt, I was too lazy to write a review anyway, but anyway my fav tracks on it are Take This Life,Leeches,Crawl Through Knifes,Dead End, i feel the instrumental track is not really that interesting (their Man-Made God instrumental track is the best smile.gif )
Overall i like this album better than STYE (altho i still think My Sweet Shadow is a good track smile.gif )

p/s:I saw the 19.90 Clayman album in CM, but it looked like a pirated version (the printing doesn't seem to be clear),I remember buying Shadows Fall War Within for the same price a few months ago & tat wasn't original either (but the distributor is different)

For some odd reason, my BT speeds never go above 1kbps (probably some router settings) so I never bothered to use it. Getting the tracks one by one thru AIM was a hassle though doh.gif

As for the 19.90 discs, I don't think they're originals. Look at Tower Records, they import non mainstream albums for 69.90 each. That's about the same price if you order from online stores. I don't see how a local distributer can get the albums so cheaply. Even peeps in the States buy Nuclear Blast albums for a higher price than those distributed locally.

Well, maybe its pressed in asean, so its cheaper. Its just like if you buy gotham comics, you pay rm2.90 for a comic rather than 20bucks from usa.

ok basically, the cheap cd's which are in like digipak (foldable) and have serial numbers like B0000xx are pressed in taiwan or something. I consider them fake. The booklet spelling is horrible and lots of typos. However, they are original in that sense but I'd rather fork out more for a true original

I paid To Die For RM39!! and also in digipack form and same serial number listing but no typo error

Whoa! They have Blind Guardian and ManOwaR!!!

EDIT: Iced Earth too! I'm surprised no Pantera there tho. And a few NWOBHM bands are missing, notably Iron Maiden blink.gif
