metallica would be the first metal band i've listened too... and the second band that really attracted me to metal was sepultura
 then slowly i tried heavier sound like death metal, black metal... but i still feel that thrash metal is my soul. now I'm Megadeth crazed... because Metallica's newer materials are kinda disappointing me. |

has anybody listened to Kittie's new album? it has more classic metal influence on it. some tunes are kinda modern megadeth-ish ... and a few got tune like metallica's load-reload era...lol!

Pretty long solo for that to remember actually...lucky it's just in B minor pentationic - dunno what mode....wish me luck! anyone here holds the guitar like marty? weird finger pickin position aint it? tried that style but it felt weird...wonder how he mutes the picking strings...?  i think the most technical Megadeth album was RIP when Mustaine said that he can make Megadeth sound like Metallica .... well.... there are tunes like "Angry Again" which has riffing similar to Metallica style. I just started listening to Arch Enemy.... to be specific I have listed to Wages of Sin and Doomsday Machine. Apart from Angela Gossow's growls... I actually like their music structure especially on Doomsday Machine, more thrashy but with heavier guitar tone. Almost like Carcass (of course Mike Amott was ex-Carcass) but not too close.

Can't stop listening to Machine Head's The Blackening.... after listening 2-3 times, it made me feel wanting to listen to it more. It's definitely not another 'Burn My Eyes' .... but I would say it's their best effort 'musically' so far.
