Somehow I think the culprit is the Radio file, since in Android Built-in Battery History, it shows this:

QUOTE(Atsutane-Shirane @ Mar 10 2011, 12:14 AM) @polarzbearz Hmm, okay. Gotta do some reading about Kernels first.. radio agak-agak already know. You can always flash kernel using the kernel update utility... easy just follow the instruction... And it's not that hard to update radio also... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=896597 QUOTE(GameFr3ak @ Mar 10 2011, 12:13 AM) @ polarbears, I think u cant judge by that short duration. Try monitoring for a day until its red. Then you can see whats the second highest.. Hmm okay. Gotta leave it overnight charge tonight (No time to recalibrate).Tomorrow morning till night, see can last how long + its usage. This post has been edited by polarzbearz: Mar 10 2011, 12:20 AM |

Do we have to backup anything before flashing kernel / radio? If so, where?
Gotta follow Radio & Kernel used by Atsu for ARHD 3.0 |

QUOTE(syuki @ Mar 10 2011, 12:38 AM) @Napoli I did Nandroid yesterday, before I flashed ARHD 3.0. So if anything goes wrong I just use the Nandroid and restore my STOCK (rooted, ENG S-OFF, RADIO S-OFF) version of my ROM; by using Clockworkmod Recover > Restore menu?Welcome home soldier.. Added on March 10, 2011, 12:40 am as for kernel, no need to backup (for me).. but for radio, maybe you should do Nandroid.. in case unfortunately got bootloop or something.. QUOTE(syuki @ Mar 10 2011, 12:58 AM) you make nandroid yesterday, backup your Stock rom is it..? actually you can make 1 more nandroid backup, this time it will backup your ARHD 3.0 rom.. and yes, if you want to restore it back, need to boot into CWM and choose restore.. so it will give you 2 selection whether you want to restore Stock or ARHD 3.0.. I see. It'll restore perfectly to "previous state", as if nothing happened, correct?@Napoli glad you're back.. So if one day *choi choi!!* I have to send for warranty, I just Nandroid backup current state, and load-back to Stock Nandroid, ENG S-ON, Radio S-ON, Unroot and send it back? Thanks syuki! |

QUOTE(InvinCibleXz @ Mar 10 2011, 08:11 AM) Haven't done battery calibration. But battery life is better than before. 7.30am ~ 2pm with WiFi ON and CONNECTED, most other things off, 100% > 82%. With 5~10mA in between, and then 30~50 in-between (Wondering if it's because of the weak signal of WiFi Station that I connect to Not bad, 18% for 6hours 30minutes compared to previously.. But still many rooms for improvement (Target = 1 hour 1%, QUOTE(Atsutane-Shirane @ Mar 10 2011, 08:58 AM) @raven143 The radio you using now (In your signature) saves more battery? Gotta try it if it's so. Idle take around 3-5mA is a good sign... maybe something wake up and try to check the system is running or not... or default system looking for update... @terry3386 Flash kernel no need wipe... just use the kernel update utility... but must have done ENG S-Off... Flashing new radio seem help a bit... 1 hour still not drop any battery... |

I believe this is what you read what should i do for tat..@@ » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « and » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « at here. Well, just over-charge your device till its around 4.2v++, then reset battery stats. Re-calibrate if you want. |

QUOTE(WindChaseR @ Mar 10 2011, 02:34 PM) i read something like tat i think.. weeks ago, forgot d.. Even though 4.2v or 4.3v is the maximum possible, still it differs depending on battery. 4.18 is fine, mine is 4.19.. can't reach 4.3 ya i did tried recalibration thingy, point is, i nvr see it reach even 4.2V, not even overcharge.. if i do overcharge, like when im sleeping, it even starting to drop down wit green light on.. 1st drop to 4.18 something.. Now I'm trying to make sure my 0% of battery is 3v~3.3v. Based on yesterday's value and estimation, I think my 0% is at least 3.5v only. Need to lower it to extend more juice Tonight will try recalibrate and see how it goes Anyway, finally got my screen protector today. Luckily I ordered 2 pieces. First piece can throw away, sucked in some dust and irritates me, tried to take out abit and use cellophane tape to "suck" dust out.. but it failed and bring more dust into the screen.. pissed off and took the whole thing out, re-wipe and check, then apply new one. Perfect! |

QUOTE(WindChaseR @ Mar 10 2011, 04:07 PM) lol, jus tried over charge like less than an hour, from 4.194v dropped to 4.187v alrdy.. Not sure about that, haven't done recalibration so I don't really understand it also. Can't comment about it : actually from the calibration guide, i drain my batt until auto off, den switch on and plug in, wat if cant switch on alrdy? plug in 1st nid awhile only can switch on, by tat made the min limit diff alrdy? QUOTE(Ghostblind @ Mar 10 2011, 05:13 PM) Be like Nike - "Just do it"I was worried too but it wasn't that hard to root/flash ROM/Radio/Kernel. Just make some readings on different guides, follow whichever guide that is more precise + accurate + easier and do it steps by steps. Nothing will happen, unless really unlucky Added on March 10, 2011, 6:25 pm QUOTE(Atsutane-Shirane @ Mar 10 2011, 03:42 PM) Can't say yet... just flash this morning... but since this radio is for 1.84 Rom... it should bring more improvement compare to last radio... Hmm ok, gotta wait for your review first before flashing it then Oh ya Atsu, please add me to ARHD Rom userlist This post has been edited by polarzbearz: Mar 10 2011, 06:26 PM |
