Then you won't need to loitering in LYN, sharing & checking others salary, but to have some better life out there.

HAHA! Nah, just wondering. Cuase it seems so far the posts have all been salary,salary,salary,benefits...was wondering when someone will post self-owned business and benefits are self paid. And earning maybe 100 000 a month?
*
Do you think those business owners & directors will post & keep surveying people salary in LYN? After he/she posted, they don't worry become target of kidnap or robbery?

Only we who earn salary have nothing to do but comparing & checking others salaries in LYN.

Salary: 3.9k
Allowance:
Overseas (80-90% of the time overseas) - get roughly 1-2x salary depending on country

Mostly working overseas on project so housing provided, traveling and phone allowance can claim

The overseas allowance i am quite happy. I am more looking at the view of my basic salary with 3+ years experience since if i want to change job i guess people will focus more on your basic salary. Comment please?
*
Agree that people won't really see whats your allowance & benefit, only focus on basic. Some company even have policy which new joiner only can increase max 30% of basic salary.

Rarely company will give 50% plus from your basic salary.

If so senior and earning only around RM 4.3k, I think that's really something wrong in me.
*
You seem keep humiliating those are earning less then 4k people. We know you are lucky to earn above industry average in the young age, & in a junior position.

Please note I'm not in less then 4k salary category, I earn >5k in a O&G MNC as a permanent staff with superb benefit.

In some field your starting maybe higher, but you hardly move to upper level due to the limitation of the industry(eg IT, Medical & etc).

Myself from Finance & Accounting, most fresh auditor don't even have 2k, but after 3-5 yrs thier salary may double or triple. So please don't keep comparing currently how much you earn, but think about your career prospect in 5-10 years time. FYI, my salary had triple after 4 years, and I don't see there is a reason it will stop there.

Company pay your salary base on your contribution & experience, if you want to move up, please polish your skill & give contribution to company. I believe @fruitie(HR Practitioner) know these much better then me.

I never heard work in Audit is on par or overpaid. Try compare your work load & hours of work, you may consider as cheap labour. I guess you must work in Deloitte/KPMG.

Just wonder 4 years in audit, do you have a life or you 100% workaholic?

ACCA is just a cert, until the time you become a member of ACCA & can create value from it.

If you are not a ACCA member yet(affiliate), mean you still in development stage (learning stage)

MNC company, normal MNC perks (medical & insurance)

1 month contractual + performance bonus (less than a month)
5.4k

With just 3 years experience, you are doing very good & believe you move up the ladder super fast. Your case is quite rare.

Currently average fresh grad only getting 2.5-3k, but you getting about 100% increment after 3 years working with the same firm.

Do you have any professional cert or special skill? Mind to PM me which MNC you are in tongue.gif

Just age of 23, you getting 3.6k, you are doing great. Is a very good jump with 33% jump. Most company HR policy only allow maximum 30% increase for new hiring.

Good luck, please continue your MICPA, its valuable when you moving to next level.

I was a Team Lead then jump become Analyst(consider as downgrade, no more subordinate direct reporting to me). But my salary jump 40%.

It just a title, you can be a manager sit in a room but only getting a senior exec paid. So do you think is worth to have a manager work load & responsible but getting peanut?

If you really feel you under paid, then go find a new job with higher paid. If you are not able to find a better paid job, mean you are paying well with your current skill & experience.

This is how we judge the market rate, supply & demand.

thats mean they doesn't want your basic high, they still can cut your allowance anytime they want, but not the basic salary.

Another reason are, when your increment or promotion. It will base on your basic, your allowance be excluded in the calculation. shakehead.gif

Glad that my message brought a great impact to many forumers here!  biggrin.gif

I'm taking ICSA in part time basis. Initially I aim to take Master in Economics or Master in Law, but local universities don't accept my application because I do no have relevant backgrounds for both. Since ICSA is a program that could lead me to human resource career path, and is affordable to me, I decided to take. When I first saw the schedule before I registered for ICSA, it looked good to me, 4 consecutive weekends classes, 9am to 5.30pm, subsequently an assignment to be completed within 30 days, PLUS attending second subject if the class is available; but when I started attending the classes, it turned to be a nightmare:

1. my weekends were meant to sleep a bit later, and also to settle my personal commitments (bring my dog for grooming, clean the bedroom, clean the study room, do my part time jobs, bring family for dinner etc), but I totally couldn't do it any more during the 4 consecutive weekends. I was really tired.

2. During assignment weeks, I thought I would have more time to rest, but who knows the assignment is not that easy as I thought because it needs us to do research, self-study (lectures just read the notes during classes). I thought I could do it once I reach home after work, but it's very tiring, after coming back from work, all I want is to take a short time to rest, eat a proper dinner, watch TV news, read the newspapers etc - but I couldn't do it any longer.

3. my current course is a fast-tract program - each subject that's supposed to be done in 6 months, I'm finishing it in 1 month, not to say lectures are just reading the notes page by page during the class (somehow I think I might as well study from home).

Perhaps I'm a slow learner, therefore I find it hard to pick up new skill (my degree has nothing to do with any well known/common majoring in the market smile.gif); what I'm experiencing right now might be different from you all.

Study part time never be easy & no life for yourself and family.

I been thru that.
