The roaming is only once, unless you call back & ask to cancel. Once activated, your nxt destination will be automatic. That's why your Thailand is automatic haha

Just wondering, how much are the ginseng products?

Added on June 3, 2011, 1:18 pmI was being told that ginseng is government regulated. So is the price also being controlled by the government?
*
The price range from few hundred to thousand plus. Not sure about other places but the price in te duty free shop is regulated by the government. Seems like it's the cheapest there.

My parents bought the powder an the ginseng extract.

Don't think it will be much cheaper compared to the sales here if you are looking to buy non Korean brands.

korean brands are easily to distinguish ba.. if it's not a burberry/chanel/zara/forever 21/etc. it should be a korean brand. or you can ask la..is it made in korea or something...

Yeah. You never know what side effects it can bring. If your kidney is healthy there's no point taking all these stuff.

Theres no such thing as western or Asian medicine nowadays. They are mostly classified as evidence based medications. If that medicine has a proven track record that it works, by all means go ahead and buy.

And if you eat unhealthy food and have irregular sleep patterns your liver will kena first lo.

Hmmm the Teddy bear museum at the namsan tower looks quite interesting though. They use Teddy bears to narrate their history if I am not mistaken. Didn't go there though. Saw pics of my colleagues. I went atop the namsan tower instead. thumbup.gif

Seriously, don't bother to ask the girls at KTO office in Jln Sultan Ismail. They don't even know their own country. Happen to me though. I asked them questions, they gave same answer for different questions. They also gave me wrong info about how to go to Gapyeong.  rclxub.gif  Luckily I read this thread and corrected them.

According to my friend who live and work in Korea, most of the time they were selected due to their appearance and ability to speak little or good English not their knowledge of their own country.

hi there, you can take the bus (Seoul - Sokcho) from the Express Bus Terminal. You can get to the terminal using subway line 3, 7 or 9. Traveling from Seoul to Sokcho will take you about (plus minus) 2 hour 40 minutes and cost you 17K won.
And yes, you can take a local bus from Sokcho Terminal bound to Mount Sorak.

Added on July 2, 2011, 1:10 pm

That's true, Listiani. That also happened to me when I went there  doh.gif , so i ended up looking for info on the net myself. The ability to read map plays an important role here..

As I was traveling to a few places outside Seoul, I am so thankful to come across a website created by foreigners living in South Korea. The website is still new, and there's not much info yet, but it does help me in my travel to Gangwon-do especially on the local bus travel time.

i share the link here so you can benefit from it as well: South Korea Travel Info

Don't bother asking Korean's about directions.

Firstly they rely too much on their GPS and 2nd, their public transport is way too efficient. They only know which subway and which bus can bring him/her to their workplace and house/mall etc and that's it. Beyond that no clue.

im a bit confuse abt the currency.
i type in google 1MYR to KRW it gives me around 350
but when i type 1KRW to MYR come out 0.0028

so if one meal cost 10000krw then how much in RM ar?
*
generally, times 0.3 to make your life easier. So 10000krw = RM30.00
