Hi J_Vansen_S, I have been to Busan. T-money card can be used in Busan, but cant be reloaded there. So you need to charge up your T-money in Seoul before leaving to Busan.

Hi all

Visiting Korea next month. No mood for work already as my mind already in Korea. Haha By the way i went to Korea Plaza yesterday hoping to redeem free pick up airport service. Been told about this when visited KTO booth during last year MATTA Fair. However, the lady said she didnt know about this promotion but maybe if you travel with Korea Air only have the free pickup service. sad.gif but they gave us free glove after showed our e ticket. Hahaa n they also gave us discount card that u can use in Korea at selected places!!

I have several questions here.. Need ur kind help to answer these. About the T money, may i know if i can use it to travel outside to Jisan Ski Resort, Everland and Nami Island?

Also, do i need to purchase Everland ticket in
advance or can i just buy it the same day at the park itself? Will Everland be pack if i go there on Saturday after 3 pm? Wanna go watch parade n all the colorful bulbs. Not really looking at the rides there. Thank you guysss smile.gif

You can buy the Everland ticket on the spot. Check out their website for discounted rate for foreigner (need to sign up and print out the coupon). It takes around 1.5 hrs to travel by bus from Gangnam to Everland, so you will probably reach in the evening. Last time i went, the fireworks and parade started at 9:30pm (summer time), so when go back it is already late. So we skip the parade. So if you wanna go, you need to plan ur trip back to Seoul.

For those who are worried about language barrier, if you do your homework nicely, you should be able to get to your destination. Note down the exit number of subway that you will get-off and print out the map to destination from the subway. Those popular destinations they have volunteered tourist guide, you can approach them if you are lost or have any question. They have board hanging on their body that says "Japanese, Chinese, English". One thing that i find difficult is when ordering food. So, I would suggest learn to some food name and common phrases when ordering food.

Also, I would suggest one to print of some Korean phrases or save it to your handphone. For ordering food, you can also save some food picture in your handphone and show the shop owner. smile.gif Meanwhile it is good to download some smartphone apps. This is a good one for ordering Korean dish:
Food Dictionary (for ordering food in Korea):
https://market.android.com/details?id=kr.co.yam3.searchmenu

Example of Korean Cheatsheet:
1) Thank you Kam-Sai Ham-Ni-Da 감사 합니다.

2) Please give me XX. XX Roo Chu-Se-Yo XX카드를 주세요
e.g. please give me T-money card. --> T-Money Chu-Se-Yo.

3) Please charge XX won to my T-Money. XX Won charge (pronounce as "cha" "gi") Chu-Se-Yo. XX 충전 해 주세요

4) How much? Eor-Ma-E-Yo? 얼마에요?

5) Can reduce the price ? (Used when bargaining during shopping smile.gif ) Ga-ga Chu-Se-Yo
Note: If the seller is an uncle, then "Ah-ju-shi ga-ga chu-se-yo"
If seller is an aunty, then "Ah-jum-ma ga-ga chu-se-yo"

6) Where is the toilet? Hwa-Jan-Shi-Li O-Di-E Yi-Sum-Ni-Ka? 화장실 이 어디에 있습니까?
Note: Hwa-Jan-Shi-Li = toilet, O-Di-E= where

7) I am from Malaysia smile.gif Chor-nun Malleisia saram ip-nida
Note: Chor-nun = I'm, Malleisia = Malaysia, saram = from
Note: Used when flirting with ahjumma/ahjushi smile.gif

8) I can't speak Korean. Han-Ku-Ma-Lu Moh-Tae-Yo 한국말을 못해요
Note: Han-Ku-MaL =Korean, Moh-Tae-Yo = Don't know

9) Excuse Me. (When there are a lot people, and you wanna minta lalu) jam-si-man-yo 잠시만요

10) Please give me one set of XX (useful when you want to share food with your travel mate and only want one set) XX han-na chu-se-yo
Example: Kopi han-na chu-se-yo = Please give me one coffee.

11) Do you have XX? XX Yi-So-Yo?
Example: Bibimbap yi-so-yo? = Do you have Bibimbap?
(Some restaurant dont have english menu, so you just remember your favourite Korean dish and ask if they have it. My fav korean dish --> bibimbap rclxms.gif )

If they answer "I-So" means "yes". If they answer "Op-So" means they dont have it.

12) Please give me some water. Mul Jom Chu-Se-Yo.
Note: Mul= water.
To save money, we always order plain water to go with our food. Because water is free in most restaurant in Korea rclxms.gif

13) Nevermind/ It's okay Gwaen-Chan-Na-Yo

You need to do climbing a bit to reach the hostel. Overall the hostel is clean and spacious.

And the owners are cute and handsome too wub.gif

Hi AngelLingLing,

Please take a Seoul map and look at the regions of Seoul. So you know where is where. Basically, Seoul devided by two parts by a river called Hangang.

Popular regions are Jung-gu, Mapo-gu and Gangnam gu.

So for the list of transportation to Everland, you need to search the internet where they are located in Seoul and which subway station to go to.
Use the subway map to look for stations in Seoul:
http://www.seoulmetro.co.kr/station/eng/linemap.action

Actually there is a detailed guide on how to go to Everland in its website. Last time what i did last time was the below one. Take subway to Gangnam station and walk to the bus stop, and take bus 5002 to Everland. takes about 1.5 hrs to Everland.
