Hey bliz u were using sigma 24-70 hsm then top up to 16-35 ? How do u find it ? Is it better to use 16-35 or the 24-70 as a walkabout lens ?
*
I prefer 16-35 as walk around, reasons below

1. Wideangle is always better for walkaround
2. Got VR, can handheld at really low speed
3. Lighter and cheaper than 24-70

So far no regret dumping 24-70 for 16-35, i have my 85 1.4g and 70-200vr2 for longer range wub.gif

icic...
no wonder...
kinda surprise when i 1st use it...
thought something is stuck inside d motor...
got some some disappointed wif dat...
thought all SWM is fast...
btw...
d bokeh is delicious...
*
D90 focusing system is dog slow la, wasted for u to use 85 1.4g on that body, if i were u I get a 50mm for portrait on DX, then later on change to FX+85 1.4g when I have the money thumbup.gif

Phottix is good.
Woah... The difference in sharpness compared to 50mm 1.4 is unnoticeable. Thanks bro.
it makes me hard to justify where will my money go. doh.gif
I always keep it on my cam
*
Maybe mine was a good copy, those are all taken without flash + high ISO brows.gif ... I would not take the 1.4g over the Sigma ( Well that's just me doh.gif )

Set f/1.4 on DX, even Sigmalux 50 also soft one. Want sharp at f/1.4> 24G, 35G or 85G.
*
Mine was shot wide open @ 1.4, It might not be as sharp as the G lens but it's definitely sharp for my eyes

Did u compare the sharpness n performance btw 16-35 vs 17-55? Is the 16-35 weather sealed?

17-55 i can't use since i am on FX tongue.gif so didn't bother comparing, 16-35 is weather sealed, now all my nikkors are weather sealed brows.gif
