lol.. who cares about how much gears you own and how good your "talking skills" are. If you missed the kiss scene in wedding just because you are indecisive whether to go bokeh, high ISO or low ISO, what SS, what aperture, what lens to use, sRGB or Adobe RGB... what's the point?

As long as the settings just work and you got the moment captured, that is what matters more. icon_idea.gif

While that maybe true, you gotta think of all occasions though. Sometimes a certain occasions calls for a good technical execution to nail the shot laugh.gif

if you just shoot-shoot beautiful but no sense in the shot also not good laugh.gif

There is always a photo that can mesmerize people for a couple of second but it takes a true good execution or good timing to make people mesmerize everytime they see the photo

I wonder at what situation or what kind of composition we'll be using low aperture?

As far to my knowledge, low aperture will be used when we wanted to capture most of the frame we're snapping. How do we judge when we should use low aperture because I do see some portrait photo using low aperture and they managed to create bokeh.
*
how low? even if at f9 oso can create bokeh if the subject is near and the background is far. and talking about situations, i only use low apertures when im doing landscape shots. if a group of people, i put on f5.6 like dat laugh.gif

nowadays lots of kids are fortunate already..even some of us here are very rich. not yet working but still can manage to buy expensive equipments. maybe some got their own business,(like some of my frens in msia joins MLM, and they are rich doh.gif but i super hate MLM..sorry yah)or some have their parents' credit cards to swipe for their equipments, or some even work part time jobs to buy what they desire. for those who are working, different story lar laugh.gif but look at those who are less fortunate..i have frens who rides a kapcai everyday and lives in a setinggan area. if he wants something new, he needs to save up for it. and he appreciates it so much. sometimes people like these will keep us down to earth and still makes us remember how easy our lives are smile.gif

you got your point there comradez. While it's a no brainer that anyone can take a camera and point it, get the right setting and press the shutter, the rest of the activity requires a person to carefully observe and plan meticulously in order to make the audience go WOW! 80% of the time is not about the camera but how you wanted to execute the shot. As many experienced photographers always say, it is the pre visualization in your brain even before you see in the viewfinder or liveview lcd

haha there is also a rich parent but poor children my mom will always say "Your dad is rich but you're not so try to work yourself up for what you like sweat.gif "

Recently, I went to Perak near to the boarders of Thailand and I live in a shack-a-like place and let me tell you, It is carefree place to be. No electricity and outside bathroom. My head was in peace, no stress call or whatever. Just enjoy nature like it is meant for. laugh.gif

KTCY ,what do you think about 35mm when it compared to 24mm. 24mm > 35mm in term of sharpness right?

I want to ask is the purpose, i think 24mm can do all what 35mm do right ? Sorry i really donnoe why some people own 2 of this lens , it is just 9mm differences so i hope you can teach me =)

I prefer 24mm as it is wider and can include more people
*
I bought 24mm instead of 35mm. So tongue.gif

QUOTE(SSY22 @ Mar 15 2011, 05:10 PM)
Agree with you !

It might be excuse for me too as the photo was misfocus by my 70200 tongue.gif

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Mar 15 2011, 05:12 PM)
d 9mm difference is not about range difference only
both lenses give different perspective of a photo

True enough.

Well I heard a saying from one lecture I have attended.

If 4-5 of your pics are blur, then it's a fault.
If 40% of your pics are blur, then it's an experiment
If 100% of your pics are blur, then it's YOUR STYLE

That fella could be a bokeh freak who just love photographing OOF lights at large apertures. tongue.gif

im a FX user , using D700 at the moment. landscape, portraits and street photography are what interests me. i like the 24-70 range but i do not have anything wider than the 24mm now. am thinking whether or not to sell the sigma 24-70 and my 80-200mm two touch and just get the 24-70 nikon lens.
*
how much u wanna sell ur 80200? tongue.gif
