The wires are too thin. My IEM only lasted a year.

Current batch of 381 comes with different cable to address this problem already. Should last now unless rough use.

I can vouch for this. My recently purchased 381, and two 381F have better cable (softer texture and more flexible) than my first 381F which was bought on October 2011. My old 381F is still alive and kicking btw; and is used almost everyday.

Hello received ur items safely! Items bought : HD381 and HD381F for my sister.

I love bass so this is really such a nice budget earphone to me! It has same strong bass as my previous Sony earphones. Idk which model but its around RM80 and its in rainbow pink color.

And to my surprise the vocal is nicely presented too! I thought any strong bass earphones will overpower vocals but not this! Its like there are 2 music lines, one is for bass and one is for clarity. Sometimes you're paying attention to the bass but the clear vocals are attracting you at the same time. And then you switched to concentrate on the vocals but the bass is pulling you back. This is what I love about that.

So glad I bought this. And the ONLY thing I dislike is its too short. Can I extend or something? Haha.

Never realised how much panning Lady Gaga's Edge of Glory does, even David Guetta's The Alphabeat in the beginning with the piano solo you can hear the mid notes in the middle while the lower notes are off a bit to the right. Using the HD 381f.

The earphones are superb but there's a downside, I can't focus at work anymore. Totally blown away jor. Lol jk.
