No u cant use chinese charecter in ur PSN ID, only alphabet and number is allow (for asia PSN, japan psn not sure)

PS3 wont read games BD but will read movie BD.

if im not mistaken, PS3 have 2 lenses...one for Games and 1 for BD Movie....

ok, i updated my ps3 firmware from 3.50 to 3.66 from the file i downloaded from this thread. and then i registered my psn id using my ps3,i can't use pc to register because the site is under maintainance. so is there anything else i need to do?

guys..i just recently bus ps3 from sony centre
but i cant register it on sony website..instead they give me this link http://asia.playstation.com/my
but i cant even join in the playstation website to register..it says server is currently down..
what to do arr?really lazy to call sony lar

call sony is ur oni available choice to register warranty...the site has been down vry long...

icic, thanks for the info! i tried using the update from official asia playstation website, but their update is 3.65 and i can't even update it, it says file corrupted....luckily the file is provided here =)

Anyone know where can repair the DS3 joystick rubber?

I turned on my PS3 for around 5 hours and it was downloading a DLC from the US PSN Store. The whole time, it never died on me.

And then when I decided to play Assassin's Creed II, it did.

I'm getting a feeling that the culprit is actually the HDD, because I'm watching a BD movie now and its working perfectly. But how, off am I since the HDD woulkd be used during the downloading of the DLC?

Anyone can shed some light on this? Please do let me know. Thanks!

sounds like one of my ps3's symptoms b4 it gave up on me.

a word of advice, don't bother send to sony unless still under warranty.

is it worth it to buy a ps3 now or wait until the new model comes out with the expected price cut?

i think it is up to you... i just bought mine recently..... i think the price will not drop drastically...

playstation asia site is up... can login using psnid and register hardware...

just buy it....

Im still waiting for the new cech3000 spec. If the hardware upgrade is good ill just wait. Of more less the same better buy now.

from what ive read over the net , the cech3000 slightly better then previous model .. in terms of weight , power consumption etc .. i guess its worth to wait if you planned to buy ps3 slim

no doubt cech2500 already been improved in terms of power consumption & weight compared to 1st gen ps3 slim cech2000 .. 2500 and 3000 may be not much difference , but i believe new models are better

from what ive seen ps3 slim from the beginning until now seems less problem , so for those who gonna purchase it , any will do

price cut? maybe not...normally they just upgrade the spec

when they plan to release the new version?

most websites said " once all current stocks sold out " then they will start to ship the cech3000 playstation 3 slim .. i guess should be september 2011
