Haiyaaah. You no need to emo lah! Everyone here respects you as a sifu. Everyone likes you because you willingly answer people's questions in a polite way and being patient teaching newbies. So far nobody told me what i've done wrong which made them dislike me.

try to experience with different WB setting and compare the difference, much more easier for you to understand than reading from what ppl wrote. And try to join TT so that can make discussion with others for better setting of each sceneries biggrin.gif

Dont look at that. thats advanced. Learn how to use daylight, shade, tungsten, flash and of course auto.

A picture is divided into 'cool' and 'warm'. Cool means its blueish where as warm means it orangy. Sometimes while snapping of ice, you would want to change it to tungsten to make the whole picture blue, to give a cold feeling to the viewer. Or snapping a candle. You would wanna make it warmer so that yr candle wont turn out colourless. So, lets take tungsten as an example. If theres a tungsten light above yr subject, yr pic will turn out warm. So by setting yr cam to tungsten, it'll cool the pic down to neutralize it. And also daylight, it'll warm it up a lil so that its not blueish. Ignore the kelvin settings for now until you've mastered these main settings.

Left to right: Minolta 24-105mm F3.5-4.5(D), Opteka 85mm F1.4, Sony Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 135mm F1.8 ZA.

The Minolta/Sony 24-105mm is tiny - the Canon 24-105mm F4L IS USM is a lot more in the size of the Zeiss on the far right.

iamKiet: Yes it is - just reduce the effect.

You can also fix slanting lines with DxO Optics Pro - it has a very cool 'rectangular adjustment' feature.

However, I like your "Path to the peak" even if it does give me a feeling that I'm gonna tilt off my chair. biggrin.gif

hazril: Nice #4 and #5! Probably could do with a less bluish WB so the color of the bubbles become more obvious.
