Both are safe. If you want to use cwm, download it, rename to update.zip, flash it twice. Then you can select the un-renamed sweethoney rom

COMPLETE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (All Versions):

Pre-Requisites:
- Have Froyo installed

INSTALLING SPEEDMOD/DAMIAN KERNEL:

If you already have SpeedMod kernel skip this step!

1) Download SpeedMod Kernel K13C or Damian Ultimate Kernel Odin Version
2) Load into Odin as PDA
3) Go into Download Mode in your SGS and connect to PC via USB
4) Click on START on Odin and wait a few seconds
5) When done your phone will reboot with the new kernel

if you want to flash kernel with cwm, just download speedmod from xda.. and flash using odin..

then place simply rom zip without renaming into your internal sd

shutdown and boot into recovery mode. pick 'install zip from sd'

There has been a leaked gingerbread rom from Samsung. Clearly they are making a gb update for us. Expect 1-2 months before getting it released.

Can also. Because the kernel will give cwm. If you download cwm dirwctly, you avoid using Odin to get to cwm

Ok. Ignore this post. Needs froyo. So either
- flash renamed sweethoney twice in recovery mode or
- flash cwm, then select sweethoney rom

I think we're confusing him with many ways of flashing

then i just flash twice lo.. much easier less hassle !

if not just flash clockworkmod recovery then install the rom. easy.. still remember last time I flash Doc's rom. I flash CWM so that I HAVE CWM then straight flash the rom

why keep playing the animation only.. first time require more time to boot in ? keep purple blue honey animation.

as long as your phone didnt vibrate TWICE when at the animation, you have to wait, sometime could take until 3 to 5 minutes, first time boot only, if it vibrate twice then you fail at flashing, have to flash again

erm.. just now ts claimed that i have to flash twice. because zumapuma having the same situation with me. he needed to flash twice only run all the apps from SweetHoney..

He's missing phone app, if you got then i think all its there already

Zumapuma had missing phone, messaging apps so he needed to reflash the rom. Now, if you go to recovery mode, you'll see cwm (with green interface. This time use back button to select)
