Hello, I would like to try out this wet shave as my electric shaver can never give me the smooth shave at all.

What would be recommended for a beginner? I'm looking for entry-level stuff, before plunging in with hundreds of ringgit.

BBS smooth shave is kinda expert level...you have to start with DFS or Clean Shave steps first...and not all will get that BBS...but with practice you may...how about Merkur/Parker/EJ? They have good entry models around 100ish...

Old-fashioned wet shaving is back in style
The niche market for traditional wet shaving is growing quickly. Men share techniques on blogs and YouTube videos, more barber schools open, and razor maker Gillette joins the action.

guys that use straight razors, i have a question.

is it easier to shape sideburns/facial hair with a straight razor ?

getting that straight horizontal line at the end of the sideburns has always been hard 4 me. those multi blade razors were hopeless. my Gillette Super Adjustable fared better although the shape made it hard to shape sideburns.

I got my Merkur travel kit and Persona blades direct from US and the old one from Aust during my uni days.... more than 20yrs ago.

I managed to find some Gillete Willkinson blades but made from Thai... not that sharp compare to Persona / feather blades. icon_rolleyes.gif
