No shit.. that's the way to go for fades ;D

For my amount of wearing, it will take like 3-5 years. Can't believe they ripped their jeans in 9 months. I liked the one with ripples due to his crazy ankle stacking.

Added on June 20, 2011, 12:27 pmAdded the link into first post. Really crazy, that Studio D Artisan's fades.

I respect those of you who can wear your jeans all the time. I bought a pair of APC NS early last year and have been wearing it every week (once or twice a week, more if i travel). First of all, it doesnt stretch as much as i would have liked, cos i sized down, and second of all, despite what i do in it, i still get minimal fading. I shall post a picture of me in them one of these days.

Without abrasion to the surface, it does not matter how long you wear it, for 5 years, if you wear it to office everyday and baby your jeans, there will be NO fades. Max I give u some criss crosses behind your knees =/

Oooh? Bespoked jeans. Must show process and end result with pics

well these are 58" to 60" cloths sold by the meter so automatically there is selvedge. however, i since these are double width there won't be enough selvedge to run the entire length of the seam un less i buy twice as much cloth as i need.

Added on June 20, 2011, 2:55 pmoh i noticed they also carry kuroki and nisshinbo denim...

Nice nice... you'll have to think about button fly/zip fly, copper/bronze rivets or other alloys of your choice perhaps? 4 + 1 pockets (coin pocket?)

For the top button, maybe you wanna do away with it and have a clasp instead? Many exciting details to think about!! biggrin.gif

High rise, low rise, low yoke, amount of tapering.. all customised. This is damn exciting. Maybe you can set up this business tongue.gif pioneering customised denim O_O

i think i'll ask them where to buy the trimmings, though for what I have in mind a chino-like construction (but jeans fit) is very appropriate.

the 30" stuff are not light enough (min 12 oz) so i think i'll just go for the 60" stuff because i can find 9 oz denim

Horn button fly with horn button waistband closure, patch pockets and yoke like uniqlo but with more room for the butt and a touch more room for my thighs.

anyway i've already asked for 6 swatches to be sent to me, all in the 9 oz category. one is a cotton/linen mix.

you know, i might even get a tailored jacket made of the same fabric as the jeans... a denim suit.

Added on June 20, 2011, 6:45 pmi would never consider having a jacket made of heavy denim, but with something featherweight like 9 oz, why not?

Mmmm... another additional thing you may think about is if you want organic denim.

They are much softer than the rigid selvedge denim, but because of that very property... they won't break/fade in as fast.

Organic denim will be about 10-12oz yeah

You people have no taste?

Look at how the skinny fit flatters him. How his stork-like legs are accentuated by the jeans from the bony thighs to the impossibly thin ankles. The boots, bulkier than normal shoes, make the legs appear even more lidi-like (which is the whole point). Depending on how his shirt sways, the crotch bulge is intermittently visible. Sexy.

That was the view from the front. From the back you see the concave hamstrings and flat butt cheeks. Displaying both is the current vogue and those who do not appreaciate these have no taste.

Altogether very high fashion, the skinny jeans aesthetic brought to its finest implementation. Sexy like the bound feet of ancient China.
