My family owns it from 2003 till 2008 and then sell it to my uncle. Still borrowing it occasionally from my uncle if my family wanna travel far. It is one of the first 200 CBU unit. 5 years of ownership the car did not give any major problem as far as I can remember. Mostly used to balik kampung and it is very comfortable even with 7 adults inside and can cruise at 160km/h without problem. Oh and the aircond also very cold. Haha. Only the bad side is the high FC, if u used it in town u can feel the fuel flow like water.

yeap..true indeed..the FC is around 7-9km/liter...
my family been using it since 2004..no major problem till this date.. aircond damn cold when travel long distance.. top speed 160km/h is achievable...it's a good weekend car to anyone who's looking for a cheap comfortable 2nd hand MPV it it's range.. not recomended for town driving tho..it's like driving a highly tune evo petrol consumption wise |

yup, is a very gd MPV...comfortable, powerful and not to say...extremely spacious...nice 2 drive...but is a fuel geezer.....road tax, standard for 2.0 lar...
maintenance wise, if u knw hw 2 take care and maintain it as prompt from SC....service at SC everytime, no nid worry.... acbc. korean cars when u buy, are NOT FOR SALE....is a car u buy for lifetime use ald....if u plan use a car from A to B, without getting rain, with loads of safety features and goodies, then go for it... I am happy as a Forte owner, no regrets of buying it...not gonna sell it anytime withing 10-20 years...owning 1 car enough....owning lots of properties....oh yea...baby!! |

Expensive road tax 3. Expensive parts 4. Repairs here and there 5. Downgrade to smaller car, bought Carnival because of my grandma. Changed to Honda Accord 2.0 5-speed auto (base spec). 1. Super damn good FC, got over 831km @ RM 120 using RON95 pure highway or 721km @ RM 120 using RON95, Shell only 2. Cheap road tax 3. Cheap parts, if service outside. If Mofaz, chop to the max 4. No need repairs, 3 years warranty 5. Consider upgrade since car is so comfortable and perfect for my aging parents Old Korean cars are crap. New Korean cars might be better but not putting any money after lost over RM 140k in 6 years. Added on February 25, 2011, 8:50 am QUOTE(sfotsy @ Feb 25 2011, 08:38 AM) thanks for info here. The engine as what u said here is easy to find? and how much will be estimating to be? If CBU, it uses newer engine and gearbox just like the 2nd generation Carnival. In fact, if u ask any workshop, many also have Ria or old Carnival for family use and they converted to newer engine and gearbox. Less problem they say. Not an easy upgrade as u need the entire sub frame assembly, engine, gearbox, drive shafts, wiring and ECU. For my mechanic's case, he got it from a friend who crashed his Carnival.Added on February 25, 2011, 8:40 am hi you are saying that CBU unit is better? QUOTE(acbc @ Feb 25 2011, 08:47 AM) I had to sell it for the following reasons. Thanks for your info, in fact i am thinking off spending some money to convert into Nissan Engine as told no need to change the sub, as they are identically same ??? Anyway i think hve to spend lots of money on buying a half cut to get the whole damm thing.1. High FC 2. Expensive road tax 3. Expensive parts 4. Repairs here and there 5. QUOTE(tishaban @ Feb 25 2011, 12:22 AM) I think that's one of the biggest advantages of the Naza Ria today. Mudah.my shows a 2008 model for as low as RM45-50k only. Cheap for a 7-seater car to ferry kids to school. I don't care so much about the fuel costs since I won't be travelling far with it. You have 6 kids?? LOL. Good for using as bas sekolah haram...haha. |
