good in the sense its value for money and its comfortableness. Mine was 2004 model (CBU) and disposed off in 2009. No problem within that 5 years, maybe I was lucky as it was a CBU. However, petrol consumption is heavy, around RM 0.33 per km town driving

I had the original Kia Carnival year 2002 fully CBU and cost over RM 170k. After 6 years, got only RM 30k after trade in with Honda for Accord 2.0 5-speed auto.

This MPV has lousy FC, RM 120 gets u 400km max. Very slow when going up to Genting Highlands as engine always above 4000rpm.

If weekend car, not too bad. Comfortable and nice to drive.

Road tax also expensive, over RM 700+ and spare parts is expensive.

Naza Ria uses an old engine and gearbox (from a 1999 Kia Carnival) which can be problematic later. Only the original Kia Carnival (2002 only) used a newer engine and gearbox. Get the original if possible.

I hate to share "friends" stories but I hope you don't make the same mistake by owning this MPV.

Owner Doctor - Sold off cause too much of problem and maintenance too high.

Pharmacy Outlet Owner - Sold off his Ria and swtich to Estima, reason being problematic and high fuel consumption.

But for Family and comfort it's thumbs up.

2 things that might change my mind on YF.

I want the 2.0T currently available in Korea and US.

And lastly, paddle shifters.

Thanks for your info. May i know that in which way you are saying the maintenance is too high? The engine parts or body parts?

By the way was told by many people saying that high fuel consumption but it is very powerful. It this is true?

The 2.5L V6 is a lazy engine but at over 160hp, not too bad... still can push 160kph with 7 adults and 3 large bags on the NKVE to Ipoh.

You can't get anymore the new Naza Ria. The last batch was sold at RM67k inclusive of insurance.

Managed to get one of the last few units. We trade in our old 2004 ria for the new one because it was so cheap. We did not have any problems with the old Ria.

I think that's one of the biggest advantages of the Naza Ria today. Mudah.my shows a 2008 model for as low as RM45-50k only. Cheap for a 7-seater car to ferry kids to school. I don't care so much about the fuel costs since I won't be travelling far with it.
