QUOTE(D3vilsim @ Apr 8 2011, 04:14 PM) and they love to use this " obvious... u love your car more then me. why not u paktor with your car ?" Haha! Yea, that's the problem I'm having too.My GTI is delivering soon and she was asking what am I going to do with the car. She: "Tell me, are you going to change the rims?" Me: "Err... see how la. Maybe getting 18" She: "Huh!? I tot u're buying GTI because u donwan to mod it since u said TSI involves mod to let it look nicer" I was like "err... I did said maybe not a must though." Ended up her getting mad at me for not spending more attention to her rather than the car. BTW, what's wrong with VW Golf club malaysia? I tried to register myself an account and they keep deleting my account. What the hell!? |

QUOTE(Royrogers @ Apr 13 2011, 10:50 AM) As I know, TSI remap stage 1 is 200hp while GTI stage 1 is about 260hp. And we know there are few options out there. Exotic mods about 2k+ and someone did mention here that Revo is about 2.9k. Exotic claimed that their mod will not be detectable by VW hence it will not void warranty. They say that if we are worried, we could always de-tune it back to original before we send our car to VW. Is it that simple? Fa Wagen has quoted about 7k+ to be done by ABT but they provide 3 years warranty, means we will lose out 2 years given by VW. I'm very tempted to do stage 1 for my GTI, but I risk losing the 5 years warranty if I opt for the cheaper options. Anyone can really advise on this? Go for a tuning box if u're afraid of any warranty voids. It can be removed whenever u bring your car back to vw sc for servicing. Though it's not as good as stage 1 remap, it's something similar. My friend installed a tuning box on his 308 turbo, feels very powerful too |

QUOTE(jwrx @ Apr 16 2011, 09:59 AM) Yea, i agree with that too. It's not like the ones in Audi. Maybe because many ppl installed DRL on their headlamps with those cheapo LED strips. The Golf's LED DRL looks similar to those LED strip. I'm still happy with my 2010 GTI |

QUOTE(BrokenOne @ Apr 16 2011, 02:20 PM) it looks similar to those cheapo LED strips ? lol LOL! I didn't mean to offend anyone here. if ure happy with ur 2010 gti then keep it that way. i think the DRL's look nice. i got it fitted on my 2010 gti Sorry if I did Not that it's ugly, maybe it looks weird to me and am not used to that style. My preference might change over time though, maybe I'll feel that it's nice after all in the future. I wasn't used to the current civic's looks too when I still prefer the 6th gen last time. But still i ended up buying it since I somehow feel that it is pretty Who knows someday I'll spend 4k just to change the DRL headlamps on my GTI |

QUOTE(Royrogers @ Apr 16 2011, 04:20 PM) As I said b4, the DRLs on the GOLF TSI and GTI not as nice as the ones fitted on A4 but nevertheless, I still think they look cool. Looks is subjective la, no point debating about it. Some like it, some don't. So for those who dont have DRLs or dont like the DRLs, dont be sourgrapes and try to make those with DRLs feel bad la. After all, DRL is not just about enhancing the looks of the car, it is there for safety purposes. Anyway, let's not debate about this, we are all VW family here and I'm glad VW has gained tremendous popularity over the last 1-2 years! Yeah, damn true I'm already sighting lots of GOLF/POLO TSIs around Klang Valley. I bet VGM is starting to make money already. Banners and advertisements everyday on newspapers. Someday we shall host a TT event for LYN VW owners. |

LOL! This is super hilarious.
He thinks the dual VVT-i is the best. As if the Intelligent Dual Variable Valve timing is very new and turbo is just an old tech. A Toyota fanboy who can't get the fact right. |

QUOTE(r3kahsttub @ Apr 22 2011, 02:49 PM) Ah? FD1 FC leader in its class? I take the MEX to work everyday (at speeds between 130-190km/h) and I am doing about 9.7km/l whilst my 8G Altis was getting me 12.5km/l at similar speeds... Yup. FD1 is not the FC leader in its class. But on the subject of the Polo, I'm pretty sure the Polo will take the lead in a 0-100 sprint, and think that the Civic will eventually catch up. I use MEX everyday too. Avg speed around 140km/h and my FC is 10km/l or 11km/l at most. No where near Altis. I still don't understand why ppl always say FD1's FC is too damn good In terms of FC, I prefer my mom's Vios |

QUOTE(tiganasfx @ Apr 25 2011, 12:20 PM) Hmm i am interested as well. looking at the reviews of people who installed it, it sounds quite good. is this available in malaysia? Guess you need to check out with the guy in SG.They can probably ship to KL. If i'm getting it I'll probably ask my relative in SG to help me out. Then bring it back to KL when he comes back. Not sure when though. |
