Heyya Veedubbers.

Just wanna ask question in this thread. I dont want to create new unnecessary thread to post this question. I'm a noob so forgive me if my question is a little bit off topic, but i really need your opinion guys.

Im 26-year-young

Just Graduated, Professional.

Take home pay RM 7850 ++ on the lowest, could go higher if i spend more hours on the job.

Virtually no long term debts to pay as of now.

I'm looking for a Golf 1.4 TSI as my first car. My heart says get it, my brain says hold, and get cheaper car.

I wonder if you guys here earn more than me, or about as little as mine before deciding to get this car. i know mine is quite on the low side, just wanna hear your frank opinions.

and please, spare me from your sarcasm if this post makes me look like i wanna show off my pay. Really, i didnt mean it.

TQ in advance.

honestly...get a prop first. I truly regret not getting a property first in my early 20s (i got nice cars instead)

Now im in my 30s, i kongsi with my wife, took out EPF money to buy 2 props, combined rental from 2 props is 4k+, if i had started 10 years ago...by now can drive a A5 biggrin.gif

You dont need big money to invest in rental props, even 15k is enough to start on a small apartment

But....on the other side of the coin...u only live once, so why not enjoy. a TSi would cost you about 2k-2.5k in monthly repayments depending on loan amount and tenure, if you can afford it..why not

Is that a civic 2.0 tailgating you? Hmm a GTI should be able to shake him off easily if the road is clear  flex.gif

not really... anything above 140kph or so, our KO3 turbos run out of steam, not suprising that a civic can keep up. The GTI is a great car...but lets not overstate its capabilities. A stock GTI would not be able to "tarpau" normal 2.0NA sedans above 145kph.....at traffic lights, or city speeds below 120, no problem....but on long straights at highway speeds, we wont make ppl "eat smoke"

Kavia,

The Focus 2.0 is only 108k after discount, its a great value for money car and you save rm45k+ over the TSI

I had a mk5 and now a roc, but when it was time to upgrade my wifes car, i got the Focus 2.0 hatch, comfortable, handles well and most importantly alot cheaper then its peers ie M3, Civic etc.

why get R lights from FA? i sell cheaper icon_idea.gif Yesterday installed 2 units of RCD for LYN forummers

I sell both Golf R LEDs and RCD510's
info here - Ryous modshop just click on Notes

I got the focus hatch, the sedan is abit uncle, TDCI was 20k more then petrol, so we got the petrol instead. The goal was cheap reliable safe hatch, which we can upgrade in a few years when we kumpul enuff...go for a Tiguan biggrin.gif btw..im not saying the focus is a better car then the TSI, im just saying its cheaper...by alot. The TSI has better quality interior, more tech, better engine etc

Cherry Red = European Golf LED lights
Smoked Red = Golf R LED lights

Obviously, the smoked red ones are more awesome and faster
