i've found a temporary solution though. i bought a Black Square from http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...hl=white+square and it helped cuz now it registers just as normal. quite pricey too for a sticker. i suggest going for a white one instead of a black since the colour of the black one isnt really black, its greyish. didnt wana complain since its just a sticker but really, it helps. those with this problem can opt for http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1763354&hl= cheaper but its a bundle! hope this helps. a more permanent solution is to go for a replacement, but for me, that'd be worse case scenario!

Went to DiGi centre at Beach Street penang.

Had them look at my phone, they confirmed it's failing and needs replacement. Say will do 1:1 replacement for me, but stock no in yet. so they'll gimme a call when stocks in, roughly >1month.
I'm ok though, as long as they replace it for me i'm fine

2 weeks ago, i went to replace my maxis iphone due to the home button..they have a policy whereby they replace the whole unit and not fix the home button only..
only maxis centre at klcc and ttdi have the service, other centre will have to send it back to either of that 2 centre to get the replacement.
so if u dont want to be seperated frm ur phone for more than 2 weeks, go there cos only being phone-less for 30mins max..
they will give u a new unit and a new service card with the phone..

Let me know if you want to fix the home button. i'll be able to assist.

just sync in itunes. it'll create a backup

then plug in the new phone, launch itunes, pick Restore from backup

i'll be trying my luck at maxis klcc too, maybe this sunday let me know how long they took to get u a replacement ya

i just got my replacement today.

- go to maxis klcc, told them i have a prob with my home button. they gave a number so i just waited for my turn
- at the counter, just say my home button not as responsive. they play2 with my home button. actually mine wasnt so serious, and when he play my home button was actually fine
- they check for water damage
- i told them i forgot to bring my warranty card, but using my mykad was fine
- they asked me if i already backup or not. i did, but i guess they can help u if u havent
- i wiped my phone. settings > general > reset > erase all contents and settings
- took off my casing, screen protector, and sim card.
- go shopping
- after 2 hours, go maxis cntre again, take number again. go counter n pick up my phone. u can activate at the counter but i chose not to
- they gave me a new warranty card
- put back my casing on and realized i lost my screen protectors

someone please reply me fast bcause i need to send phone tomorrow
ok so im on jailbreak

what should i do is
connect itunes - right click -> backup right ???

but it still jailbreak right ?
so if i right click again and click restore from backup - ,then it will restore  to  new firmware with all my backup ??

then if i get another phone tomorrow,can i still do the backup or the backup is only once ??
