Haiz... I'm having trouble to get IB-3 Cone Slalom Already search for guides and tips, also watch video, still can't gold it. Only silver

I tried many ways:
(i) Manual Trans - can't. Not for me.
(ii) Press and hold throttle, and tap brake before each cone from 4th-7th - can't also. It starts to slide around cone 6-7.
(iii) Press and release throttle. So far get 18.891. Need 18.500 to gold it. Need to keep trying

I tried go wide-turns at starting 1-3 cones, but so far not working (not yet found the rhythm). I use this method to gold cone-slalom in National A-3.

Using DS3 only, change the buttons config, but can't hold 70-80% throttle consistently using R2. So have to press and release.

Last night I started my first endurance B-spec 300km (60 laps - grand valley?). Grind my 4x bob lvl 18, 20, 22, 24 using Bugati Veyron 16,9 (free - win from some A-spec race) fully upgraded. Each one run 15 laps, win by 3 laps over 2nd place. 99k exp only

Tonight going to try 4 hours Mazda Is Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07 the best car ? Going to fully upgrade it.

So far the most expensive I've spent is for Ferrari 512BB + full upgrade, roughly 300k+ , but I've already breakeven and earn >1M from racing.

Grind 4x bob to lvl 30, 29, 28, 28 on b-spec. Mostly using endurance race for XP, not credit. Using the Minolta, currently Suzuka 1000km. Need to achieve Lvl 35, to get the free X1

Also, I need to find the Formula Gran Turismo (4.6M+ ?) have been farming my UCD, but no luck. When I'm at Lvl 20+, it is in UCD, but I'm not that level yet. After that, it never appear again. I need it for the championship and also faster grinding. It is available for sale in new car dealer under Gran Turismo/PD ?

However, from the farming, found the legacy Suzuki Escudo for (2.9M+), bought it although it is ugly. My bobs tried it out, the lap-performance is slightly slower than Minolta. Both maxed out on parts-upgrade, fresh oil change, default tuning. No wash, no engine tune, no chassis tune (500k a pop is too expensive).

Also unlock S.Vettel challenge. I need to practise first for the X1 handling using DS3. There are some super-humans who manage to achieve gold using DS3. I'll be lucky to get all bronze, if not, grind b-spec to lvl 35

Maybe should have handicap-category like golf...

3x bob (let's call bob-A, bob-B, bob-C) currently running Endurance -> Sarthe (Le Mans) 24 hours using Formula Gran Turismo (FGT) race car.

Night falls, and I realise this FGT don't have head-lights However, bob-A manage to drive PERFECTLY on the tarmac at certain sections where it is completely black/dark and he knows when to brake earlier (braking line) AND IT IS RAINING HEAVILY !!! So, I change to bob-B and he can do it also ! Same with bob-C

I plan to 100% and plat it, but so far hit a few obstacles:

1) IB-3 Cone Slalom using FT-86 (Silver at 18.9xx only, need 18.5 ). Of all the license test so far, I hate slalom the most. The NA-3 slalom, I gold it with luck. Even some of those harder license test, is fine with me, like Ferrari 512BB 2-laps Rome takes me 4-6 hours to gold it, trial and error on my own (plus luck that I bang the car in front into wall and I overtook it ). Anyone want to do IB-3 for me ? I treat you free 1x starbucks coffee LOL

2) Sebastian Vettel Red Bull X2010 challenge - not even bronze it yet and I believe it is impossible to gold it using DS3. I believe it is bronze-able.

4) Special - Nascar advanced. Previously can set ABS=Off, then can gold it. Now set ABS=1 totally can't. Some people say set ABS=10, I not yet try this.

5) Special - Karting advanced last race. The kart is too sensitive.

Is Special - Sebastian Loeb challenge difficult ?

Some of those not yet started:
License test : IA and S (already has 39 gold + 1 silver)
Special : 2x rally, grand tour, AMG. Halfway through top gear test track (Lotus not done) and nascar.

A-spec : Level 31. This will take time to grind myself. Not a problem here, just plan to use Endurance Indy 500 + X2010 to grind it for 2 hours multiple times, when I'm free

B-spec : Level 40. Now is already 70% running the last endurance, Nurb 24-hours using FGT. Tonight go home to check the result, hopefully no power failure even though I plug the PS3 into a UPS.

My exasperation on Formula Gran Turismo (Extreme)

Talking about GT5, yesterday evening-night was spent on A-spec FGT (Extreme) championship (2nd try). First try last week, I abandon after fail to tune properly for Monaco and Monza, lost both.

This time, do a 500k chassis + 500k engine maintenance, power went from 887hp to 934hp (904pp)

Start at 4pm, each circuit 20-25 minutes (with short break in between to stretch/pee/refill). Manage to gold all 5x by 7:30pm (500 pts). The nearest competitor is 300+ pts only, which means I can abandon last race (suzuka) to win the trophy and save the game first

So I click exit, and made a mistake of abandon the championship instead of abandon the race What a klutz I am

After heaving a big sigh, it's either I try again next week, or do it now. So, I start all over again and get 500 pts after Monza (rain this time and manage to lap +1 all). Time 10:30pm. Won the championship and get the Caterham Seven Fireblade (not yet try/test this car)

Weird thing is, I not yet win at Suzuka. So I load as individual race (rain) and gold it in 40 minutes (2 minutes each lap) and lap +1.5 all other cars.

Basically my FGT usage is done, and I'll use it for b-spec credit grinding only (for other bobs), not going to spend 1M to overhaul it anymore. If I need a faster/better car, I'll use the X2010 for my own grinding.

With the right tuning, it is not difficult (cut corners a bit ). Just need a lot of concentration on each turn, corner, braking lines. Now I know how hard it is for F1 drivers in Monaco, a slight mistake and that's it.

At 11pm+, I start b-spec Nurb 24-hours (Endurance). Tonight will check results

I missed the FGT in UCD at Lvl24 and it never show up again, no matter how I "farm" it (pass multiple-days using license test screen) until I'm Lvl 30+ and wait till PSN is online By then, I tried SV X2010 challenge and the X2010 speed/handling/response is totally crazy. I manage the hang of it after some time. Then when I manage to buy FGT from OCD, it feels "slower" than X2010 , hence feel like easier for me to control.

Most of the time, I brake slightly later, especially to overtake or catch up on lost time (drive aggresively).

Update: Last night finished b-spec 24-hr Nurb. The XP gained are a lot (3.7M XP) All my 6 bobs are in these level:
40, 39, 39, 39, 31, 31
The last two bob, used <10 times, I used for long-endurance, and it jump from lvl 8 -> 13 -> 21 -> 31

Anyway, for finishing 24-hr nurb and Endurance series, I received McLaren MP4-12C '10 (still in ticket) and a Lvl 24 ticket. I can send the ticket out to friends

Next target: Special - Nascar & 2x Rally, and License-IA

Do you mean Online Car Dealership (OCD) ? Perhaps you need to update GT5 patch just released couple of hours ago ? I heard it is 380MB.

You mean you use DFGT / G25 / G27 it bald faster ?

Most difficult and need long time championship is FGT. 6 tracks. 5x 20+ minutes and 1x 40 minutes (suzuka)
= at least 2.5-3 hours with no rest. If with 5 min rest each, still need 3-3.5 hours.

Dream car championship 6 tracks doesn't take too long also, I whack with X2010

The rest of championship can finish in <2 hours, can find a slot in the week to do it easily.

I prefer save for endurance also. I think I can do max in a single seating will be 9hr Tsukuba, with multiple breaks in between. So far done Indy500. This weekend may try a-spec Suzuka 1000km.

Very unlikely I'll be able to plat it So far I can't convince myself to part with rm900+ for G27, not to mention additional RM200 to customized the framework (using PVC) and also another RM400 for a bucket seat. Otherwise, won't be able to win SV X2010 challenge.

The toughest part is to Gold all, and I'm stuck in a few tasks (refer my earlier posts above 1-2 pages back)

Lvl 40 for A and B spec is not a hard challenge. It just need time to grind it. My b-spec is already lvl40. a-spec 31 and I got some races not complete yet.

1000 cars is do-able. Grind credit (Dream race - Indy) and keep buying from OCD/UCD/NCD. Some says buy GoKart. Anyway, most likely need to buy all the junks, as the max is about 1050+ cars only so far.
An Air of Experience trophy is a bit vague, 500-days.

I got 17M CR now and will buy those >1M cars in OCD, if the half-price is true for the latest update. That means I wasted 4.8M for FGT 2 weeks ago and also 500k + 500k for engine + chassis
And actually with a Lvl 24 ticket, I can farm for a FGT, F2007 or F10

So far, I only bought the initial car Civic SiR-II (EG) '93, Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07, Ferrari 512BB, Lamborghini Gallardo and FGT. The rest of the cars are won from Special/License/Race/level up. I will need to buy Mini Cooper for mini challenge. Also, I prefer to win the Nascar Gold than buy a Nascar for now, but stuck now coz can't set ABS=OFF

Took me nearly 2.5 hrs to download it. Too bad it can't update like firmware, download into PC, copy into USB and plug in to patch.

Yesterday I spent 17M+ CR to buy 14 most expensive cars in OCD that is not in my list yet. i.e. Bought all 500k and higher. Skipped those I already have (but different colour) like Bugatti Veyron, FGT, Minolta Toyota and a few more.

Balance 24.5k CR Need to grind CR this weekend.

I not yet try, personally I think it takes too much time to do a few best lap.

Imagine, let's say each lap takes 8 minutes.

Outgoing lap + try 2 best lap = 3x 8 = 24 minutes. Also, unlikely to get best lap, may need to try several more times.

Outgoing lap + try 10 best lap = 11x 8 = 88 minutes (1.5 hours)

I may try it this 1-2 weeks, most likely just Outgoing lap + 5 laps = 48 minutes and post whatever times I get, and get bashed by those alien lap times

Last weekend finish a-spec Suzuka 1000km, took me 4.5 hours of racing time (5 hrs+ of my time with multiple breaks in-between) with lap times between 1:20-1:40, depending on my concentration level, using X2010.

Tips: Grind b-spec till level 35 and get free X2010. Or if you are alien, you can do Special: Sebastian Vettle challenge to win the X2010 at level 30.

Then you can use the car for your a-spec. It saves a lot of time for those endurance 200km, 300miles, indy500, 1000km suzuka.

Comparison: indy500 with X2010 = 2 hours, but with FGT=3 hours. Any other cars will be >3 hrs.
