Downloaded v2.0 over tmnUt slowmyx 1MB package doh.gif Took me 3.5 hours

Ok, the diff:
- Save files are smaller. Mine shrink from 3MB to 2.3MB
- Faster loading the game from XMB menu.
- Faster loading of tracks during gameplay.
- % rewards & XP

not yet try a-spec AI

Just have time to race few laps on Suzuka using X2010 for 5M CR. My best time is 1:22+ only. World ranking not bad, 116,000+ doh.gif doh.gif

really? Mine is Malaysian PSN. So I shouldn't but R1 cause I can't get the DLCs?
Thanks for your input smile.gif. I'm can't wait to get my hands on this game. Been a fan of it since GT 2!
*
Some difference

R1
= got museum cards options.
= can only play US based events

R3
= no museum card.
= can play Asia events, such as the recent online tournament.

Most of players win using Toyota 7 / Chaparal 2J , whether is A or B spec mode.
You can win Toyota 7 for free in B-spec Like The Wind.

im working on that lol..spamming spec B =(..screw the slowpoke AI...erm, now i can have 3 drivers already, should i fill the empty slot up and grind them too?
*
Just concentrate on 1-2 drivers only. Ignore the rest. You just need to build 1 very strong b-spec to level 40 (and then deteriorate)

you know what, I tried that. somehow like the new hip control scheme for racing games.

unfortunately for me, I cant accelerate properly, so I had to default back the button scheme. Its just me I think.
*
It's always the old-school vs new-school.

Old-school: it's either 0% throttle, or 100%
If need to control, it's multiple-tap quickly laugh.gif

Those on old-school for years (>10 years) are quite hard to change to L2/R2 button style.

What cars you guys used for the latest b-spec ?
(1) Spa
(2) Sarthe

Any tips and tricks ? hmm.gif

I just finish grind Sarthe, using Chaparral 2J on sport soft tyres, without pit stop at all.
Upgrade tuning max (Turbo+3), set transmission 370km/h. The rest all default. Push the driver at 50-80% range. Biggest win is 20 sec+

Going to grind some cash and buy all the cars in new dealership. sweat.gif

In Spa, i let my level 25 bob drive Takata Dome NSX '03 Racing Intermediate no pitting.

Why bob auto pit itself whenever there's rain even when pitting strength set to 0?

When it does, it wanted to change to rain tyres but with intermediate is far faster & plenty of grip left.
*
At the bottom window, if there is a yellow 'P' , you can choose actions to cancel-pitstop. Need to do this manually though. It auto-set each time pass the start/finish line, but sometimes also set in the middle of the lap.

Pause function already got. Press Start button. If I remember correct, applies to both A and B spec.

FF don't have. Otherwise I won't leave my PS3 switched on for 24-hours for the b-spec grinding (multiple times for Sarthe and Nurb) sweat.gif

i never think of using tat evil 2J for the match  doh.gif

1) using mobil nsx & win the race easily

2) using audi r8 race car with 1 stop @ lap 3, keep driver at 40-50% to preserve tyre until win the race
*
Spa - I tried using my Mobil 1 NSX - Turbo Stage 2, everything else upgrade until 500 PP. Max speed tune down to 270 km/h. Run on Racing - Intermediate. No pit. Lapped last 2 jokers. I think win by 1min 20-30+ seconds.
Push Bob ~80-90% Using degraded Bob Lvl 37-39.

Sarthe - I tried with few Pescarolo models, and other LM / LMR models, can't chase the R8 sweat.gif
Max speed 370km/h

Have not tried the R8 models yet.

hai guy..i juz want to know how fast u all can drive at spa with 500pp streetcar with full racing modification? i saw one of japanese guy do around 2.18+....can we bit him?????
*
Not yet buy DLC pack sweat.gif So can't test. Anyway, I'm not alien. Using JGTC cars at 500 PP, my Bobs can do 1:29+ in semi-wet. I guess I can do about 1:25 in dry ?

QUOTE(Killer Tomato @ Jan 4 2012, 12:25 PM)
In la sarthe, if using the rain tire from the beginning, will there be any major amt of  decrease in acceleration compare to racing tire? Planning for 1 pit stop only tonight...

This morning almost got 2nd place, but back tire zero already, so only manage 5th. All potong at finish line.
*
I guess for the first 2-3 laps, you'll lose ~10-20 sec per lap using Intermediates.
A pit stop only waste ~20 sec (no refuel).
I not yet try this also.

QUOTE(moon* @ Jan 4 2012, 01:32 PM)
manage to finish 1st place.

i think the tire i used was
racing hard
racing intermediate
racing hard

car use., i think its tis one. Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd Race Car '05 .

remember to keep login until u get 200% bonus tongue.gif u get 6M

lol.. ehh wait, tis is the B spec special event right?

try to keep your racer in the blue zone. tat way u save up ur tire
red zone tends to wear out the tire pretty fast
*
Wow... I can't make it with my degraded Bob Level 39 using Pescarolo.
Yes, B-Spec online special event.

200%, 6M in ~42 minutes = ~142.8k/min
For Spa 4M (200%) in ~26 minutes = ~153.8k/min

Still can get credits (money). I just spend 20M to buy the X-2010 from New Dealership.
Then grind few rounds, my credit goes back to 16M+ whistling.gif

erm...how to keep my bob to blue zone? reduce pace?

i notice when there are other cars nearby, he gets 'excited' hence it will be red zone biggrin.gif

if no other cars nearby, he gets bored, it will drop to blue zone

if i press increase pace etc he will get into red zone too
*
Yes, reduce pace.

Red-zone is good to overtake. If your driver is blue-skill-driver, then will be difficult to overtake, as he is not aggressive enough. Even after overtake, will make mistake like slide off road. If drop to blue, it'll go slower by 1-3 seconds per lap.
If your driver is red-skill-driver, normally no problem to overtake aggressively if have enough skills & experience. However, if let in drop into blue, it'll go slower by 2-5 seconds per lap.

Try pace it (green colour) when it is at the level you want.

QUOTE(eddmecha @ Jan 5 2012, 06:19 PM)
Hi i wanna ask can create how many driver on b spec??
*
Maximum is 6. If you want more, you have to fire some of your drivers and hire new ones again. Then grind again to build up their skills & experience.

those who did not buy DLC track SPA, u still get to use SPA at the seasona event rite? biggrin.gif
*
YES ! rclxms.gif Just finished the latest Dream Car Seasonal and get a Level 22 ticket. Tips: Use FGT. Add 200kg. Tune engine down to 750PP (~52% blink.gif ). If use racing soft, will be overkill.

The Spa is fun. After trying for ~10 laps, I manage to clock fastest 2:02 on a clean lap. If I cut corners, 1:54 tongue.gif

LOL ... I got 1-2 drivers also like that. I think is max-red-hot-level-driver. Very aggresive and will under-brake at corners. But too bad, I've hit Air-of-Experience trophy and all my 6 drivers are degrading now cry.gif Have to fire 2-3 of them and start to grind their experience & level ... but lazy yawn.gif

hi, just brought my ps3 and GT5, please add me into ur friend list

PSN ID : cloudwan0
A-spec level : 20
B-spec level : 7

which car is best for event race, too hard to find PP 750 car. any suggest?
*
There is a range of specific cars for each event, whether is seasonal or A/B spec mode.

Try grind some money from seasonal events. Then if possible, get the FGT (cost millions), but since it is fast enough, you can use it to grind faster also for CR/XP.

I've open up all the A/B spec races, just fired 2x bobs (degrading) and hire new 0 XP. But since I have 9-hours tsukuba endurance, my bobs jump from Level 0 -> 31 with 1 single race using FGT tuned down.

Update: New seasonal b-spec and also new list of cars in OCD.

For b-spec 2-lap Nurb, I use my new Bob level 32 with only 4-race experience.
Car: Audi Le'mans quattro '03 (643PP) with lower PP than highest spec opponent F1 GTR (648PP)
Obviously, due to lack of experience and skills (although level is high enough), he slides off quite a few corners of the track when pushed >80%. However, managed to take 1st place on 2nd lap before the Carousel and won by 23 seconds.

If Bob didn't slide off so many times, I guess can overtake somewhere at 2nd lap Foxhole. I need to pace-down while overtaking.

The other 2x 5-laps are easy.
Fuji - Tuned down Mazda Roadster (NC) '07 -> 500PP
Madrid - Golf GTI V / Mini Cooper S '07 -> 400PP

icon_rolleyes.gif

Added on February 3, 2012, 5:35 pmEdit / Add-on tips:

My Bob is hot-headed 90%

1st lap - 1st half (somewhere Bergwerk) = push 100% to overtake until 3rd place
1st lap - 2nd half = pace normal at 70-80% and overtake 2nd
2nd lap - 1st half = pace normal at 70-80% and overtake 1st
2nd lap - 2nd half = pace normal at 50-60% to avoid going off road
2nd lap - 2nd half from Dottinger Hill (the long long straight) = push 100%

For me only an experience driver is able to overtake you from the corner and not knock you out. If overtake on a straight road this is a test of high speed and no skill needed.
*
True. At corner, the car in front will take the ideal line, it depends if the back-car can find a 2nd line to under-brake and/or come out from the corner faster, hoping the front-car make some mistake.

Straight road, follow closely to the front car for the 'vacuum' effect. Not much skill needed.

BTW, this morning 12:30am+ still not release v2.05 yawn.gif Goto sleep already...
