Yesterday spent 10-hours continuous to finish off A-spec 9-hours Tsukuba endurance.
Half-way lead by 34 laps. Then took 15 min bath in middle and lost 12 laps, down to 22.
Final lead by 33 laps again, so last 30 minutes park at driving line in the middle of the road and block traffic to slow them down from fast lap

Total 533 laps.
Actual race time 8 hours 15 min.
New tires avg lap 51-53 sec, early braking to preserve tires.
Old tires 53-55 sec, sliding when near bald.
Fastest lap 49.x
Using Audi Le Mans quattro '03
and DS3

If taruh kaw kaw every lap, tires last 16-18 laps, +1/+2 sec quicker.
If preserve, can last 25-30 laps.
Each pit stop waste about 35-40 seconds (in + out lap)
But only save 20+ seconds, therefore better to preserve.

My eyes are so tired

Can't imagine when to start the 24-hours Sarthe. Need to commit 3 continuous days.

Can share your detailed tips, corners, etc. using DS3 ?

I use my Mini Cooper S '07 (480+ PP) and tune it down to 450PP

Like some say, the garage-filter doesn't work if you car fit the length requirement, but exceed the PP. You have to find manually.

Alien with wheel also cannot meh ?

I've give up to gold this event. If I'm gonna try it, my target is to bronzed all 3 tracks only. Need further advise/tips for using DS3.

Same with me, too fast like cartoonish racing, I can't keep up.

Get a gold trophy in every race event, license test and special event.

The difficult part is to gold S.Vettel challenge which you've done.

A-spec
Suzuka 1000km - I choose the wrong weather, driving in the rain, about 2.5 min/lap. 7 hrs If driving on dry (not using fastest car X2010/FGT), it would be about 6 hours (2 min/lap = 5.7 hrs).

Nurb 4 hours - is still fine, choose a nice car to drive around.

Tsukuba 9 hours - really tiring, refer few pages earlier on my experience.

24 hours Sarthe - planning to do it during long Merdeka+Raya+weekend holidays, if there are no other plans split into 3 days, 8 hours each. Need to keep PS3 switched on, unless Kaz comes out with new patch to allow mid-race save.

Commited = wrong word.
Stupid is more suitable I was already 1 hr plus into the race, then only start to feel regret, cause not even 30 laps done at that time.

Some more I thought I'm expert, go and use intermediate tyres, but slide off the track left and right, and lost nearly by a full lap. Have to pit for wet tyres and start to chase back few seconds per lap, lucky it was a LONG race...

Yeah, I read about the mid-saves also. Also, expecting a minor GT5 patch by end-Aug.

Anyway, yesterday there is update on GT5 : Seasonal DTM German Touring car.
Also, the OCD list of cars are refreshed with Touring cars and R8 LM cars.

I notice at night time, if my ID is connected to PSN (Online), the loading is very slow.
If I logoff and load GT5 (no online/Seasonal), then the loading is normal.
After past certain hour or play in morning, the loading is between slow and normal.

Last weekend, StimX down for 2 nights

When you start new, you only have 20k CR. I don't thing can afford much, so just get from a Honda Civic (year '90s) from UCD or Mazda from NCD.

Then keep grinding

Found it last night. My hand itchy and started Nurb. Using DS3

Forgot to change car from DTM seasonal, hence still using Lexus ISF
So first time try, 6th place, my 618PP against 730+ PP
Then hand itchy try again after simple tuning, manage 3rd place. The Minolta and Sauber is really fast. I need to get ahead before the long straight and build up a 4 sec margin.

So, as usual, hand itchy, change to FGT tuned down to 750PP (add 200kg, engine 50% = lost a lot of top speed)
Still 3rd place, as it loses out big time on straights.

On my 3rd try with FGT, I manage to overtake until 1st place at Carousel corner, then maintain 1-2 sec lead until the big straight, and the Minolta comes charging and I use M.Schumacher dirty tactic block left and right, and the fella PIT me, I slide into grass and he overtakes me
I charge through the last few corners chicanes and on the final straight, about 0.3-0.5 seconds in front, again both minolta and sauber comes charging. I keep blocking left and right and won 1st at 7:46
2nd was 0.110 behind
3rd was 0.2xx behind


I guess it may be easier with the fully tuned minolta (739PP), escudo (745PP) in my garage, instead of a fully tuned down FGT. Will try again in coming days.

After gold nurb, I race in Suzuka and Laguna Seca using the same FGT. Easy and won by 10-20 sec+
Not yet do Monza and Fuji.

Yes. I use F'2007. It is slightly slower than FGT, but have very good maneuverability and tends to over steer as compared to FGT.

If you can beat the a-spec FGT championship (6 races), this is easy.

A or B spec ?

I'll start with A first. Tuning is important for FGT, else it handle like Lotus Proton.

Aero = Both max 70/90

LSD 20/45/55 (you may play around and try 15/45/50 or 25/40/50 , etc.)

Ride height: -5/-5 for nurb, 0/0 for cote (you don't need full downforce for cote, cornering and stability more important)
Use -10/-10 if you can handle it

Spring tighten to 18/17.5 or 18.5/17.8 (forgot if it is F/R or R/F numbers)

Brake in straight line only, as the FGT is quite twitchy.

Overtaking chances is to underbrake by slightly only. If you underbrake too much, you'll run out of track or understeer already.

For Cote, it is more difficult as the walls are on both left/right, there is nearly no chance to cut-corners, and you really need to go all out without making mistakes. Can win by about 5-8 seconds for my average Joe driving. A single mistakes can drop you 5-12 places (last). It is not impossible to climb back from 12th->1st, provided at least about 12-15 laps for me

Nurb = plenty of outer track space for you to cut corners. If I play properly, I can win by <10 seconds. If I cut all the corners, can win by 40+ seconds

Each race will take about 25-35 minutes. Suzuka will need 35-45 minutes. Total 1 FGT championship (6 races) about 3-4 hours

The 4x Nascar seasonal gives good XP (400k) and CR (1.5M) each, and also bonus of Classic/Modern Muscle car ticket, Nascar and Jeff Gordon suit.

I setup a new a/c and race Nascar. 400k XP, a-spec jump from Level 1 -> 21
After finish 4x, already level 27 with 6M CR

Anyone want to share their GT-R times ? I think I score about 1:01.8xx after trying for 15 min with DS3. Not going to try further as there are a lot of aliens here

Since you tested R1->R3 disc, can you load your GT Mode savedata with different disc in same PS3 and PSN account ?

Coz mine is R3 and don't have museum cards, thinking whether to swap it or not.

I tried to gift the car (still in ticket), it says cannot give to friend Already redeem the car ticket, will try again tonight.

But I think the other Nissan -> GT-R SpecV (GT Academy Version) '09 is giftable

LOL... I'm interested on the R1 disc for museum cards, but too bad, I've to start all over again since can't use the existing savedata.
