I had a f**k buddy on january this year, we been f**cking around for like 4 months, and we dint use a condom.

So things happen this month, my GF dint know i had an affair, and her mouth seems to be very dry and skin peeling off for like 1 week.

Is that posible that she's infected with Herpes? But from myside, everything seems to be fine, no symptoms at all.

I hope it's just normal rashes or allergic. very paranoid
*
You mean you suspect your gf mouth is infected with herpes?
From what I know, herpes around the mouth usually appear as cold sores. Not dry peeling off skin.

Might wanna check with a doctor for her mouth condition.

I just gotten by bloodtest today, and im free from herpes.

but doctor told me that I might be infected with Chlamydia, as my reading is 1.3 as i exceed the range of 1.1

the doctor told me that chlamydia is easily treated and less serious compare to herpers.

is that true ?
*
There is no cure for herpes. I'm not familiar with chlamydia, better google up on that for more info.

Hi gUYS,

I did herpes test and the result came as per below;
HERPES SIMPLEX-1 Ab, IgG, INDEX - >10

HERPES SIMPLEX-2 Ab, IgG, INDEX - 0.00

I never have any herpes symptom, and i did it as pre-marital marriage screening, wt does it means by >10?, do i have HSV 1?
*
Where did you did your check up? Didn't they explain to you?

Many of us has herpes. Not everyone will show symptoms but quite a high percentage of the world population has herpes, especially oral herpes. It's easily transmitted during our childhood. Just watch out for cold sores, no oral sex and kissing when you have an outbreak. Google up for more info or see your doctor.

In lifecare medical center, they posted to test report to my home...
*
Might want to call them up for more info.
If not mistaken, it most probably means you have been tested positive for HSV-1 Antibodies. I'm not sure about lifecare medical center but usually if I do any tests at BP, they'll have a simple consultation session with me explaining my test results.

Otherwise, might want to get yourself retested at another center.
Again, there are many of us who are asymptomatic carriers of the virus without knowing it.

QUOTE(ArkFin8 @ Aug 6 2013, 09:36 PM)
Another thing is, wearing condom doesn't prevent transmission of Herpes Virus AT ALL coz herpes virus is so small that is can go pass the condom. And if a woman gets herpes virus, can have chance of getting cervical cancer later part of life. For men, you will get herpes virus infection....(can even get penile cancer)
*
Herpes virus (HSV), as far as I know, does not cause cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer is caused by HPV. The 2 types of HPV already mentioned by pallidum earlier.

HSV (Herpes) also got two major types - HSV 1 (mainly oral) and HSV 2 (mainly genital).
HSV can be transmitted without sex. Especially HSV1, many of us don't even know we have the virus and are asymptomatic. It is most often transferred to us when we were kids, it can be spread through sharing of food, kissing on the lips. Oral sex will increase the chances of HSV1 being spread to the genital. Herpes, as far as I know, is harmless, you'll get outbreaks of cold sores whenever we trigger it. But that's about all. And a large population of the world has Herpes.

HPV on the other hand, have over 100 types of strains. Some are harmless and are the main cause of genital warts, but some can cause cancer. Which is why women are encourage to go for pap smear and check ups at least every 2-3 years once they become sexually active.

Whoops!!! My bad!! So sorry! Thanks to munkeyflo and pallidum for correcting the facts. Yup yup, its HPV virus not HSV virus causing cervical cancer. Got confused back then hahaha
*
No worries. I mix up the two sometimes too. laugh.gif

And yea, you are right. Condom doesn't prevent 100% from transmitting both HSV and HPV viruses. It'll reduce the chances but still, there is a possibility of getting it.

So if kissing can get std or not??im confuse!!how ppl get std??
*
Yea, you can get herpes if he/she has an active cold sore. Even if he/she doesn't have one, there is still the possibility of getting it. Herpes is forever and cannot be cured. Chances are you might already have herpes since when you were a kid. Get a kissing shield to protect you from getting STDs via kissing.

STD = Sexually Transmitted Disease, I assume people need to have sexual activities to get STDs.

Today my gf went to check up due to uncomfortable when she urine. She went with her mom so i am not there and she say the explanation of the doctor she don't understand.
She told me that doctor say she get sex bacteria and can cure, maybe is from sex partner which is me, and can't have sex for a year?! shocking.gif  The doctor gave her a a shot of strong antibiotic at the @ss.(sorry dunno "pi gu" call what) and some medicine for eat.

We did have sex sometime but is with condom on. As i know with condom will also have the change of  getting std.

So i would like to know where can i conduct STD check up around Setapak. I have a good experience at KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital for other reason before, anyone check up at there before? but there quite expensive sweat.gif

by the way i don't feel any problem with myself but is better for me to do a check up. unsure.gif

edit: She called the doctor and ask about the name of it, it is Gonorrhea.
*
Discomfort during urination could be due to Urinary Track Infection, which is quite common in women if they don't wash up and pee after sex.

What doctor did she go to? Since doctor already diagnose her with gonorrhea then best you go for a check up too. You can search the Internet to find out symptoms of gonorrhea. Other than private hospitals, you can do a STD test in most clinics but I would suggest to go to those health labs, the clinics send there to test too anyway.

she went to a clinic that her mum usually go and know the doctor, i never been there yet but she say got x-ray and radiation department those stuff...
*
Did they do a urine test? Or what test did they do?

Since she's already sexually active, she should have a gynae that she can go to if there's any problems.

The doctor just ask question then make a conclusion of it. sweat.gif
I still doubt that the conclusion made by the doctor was accurate.
I am not sure how frequent is active, but i think once or twice a month?
*
Eh? The doctor should have at least do a urine test la. The first time when I was diagnosed with UTI, the doctor did a urine test and took vagina swap as well. Then only gave me medicines for UTI.

It's best if she can go to another doctor for second opinion, better still if she can visit a gynaecologist.

Sexually active = once she started to have sex

You can check previous pages on this thread. Some have posted that it's around RM100-RM250 or something. I can't remember. Best to call up those labs and ask.

Thanks for your information.  thumbup.gif

Their positive comments and feedbacks are very professional and I thought there are real doctors in here who can share and guide about these things.
*
Most of these are based on personal experiences or researches on this topic. You can find most of the information easily off the Internet.

Some are real doctors or medical students though. But you are better off going to the doctor for accurate advices.

Is this info i read on google true or false? It say once std touch air it will die??? Make me happy after reading it but now i read ur reply it can spread without penetration??? Symptoms start to show after 2 weeks???
*
It could be true. But there was still contact of body fluid. Expose to air maybe just lower the risk/chances of getting it only.

I'm not too sure either. Best to get a full STD check in a few weeks time and consult a proper doctor.

Can check previous few posts about where to go for check up.

Doesn't look like an STD to me. Look like a normal bite or blister.

QUOTE(-Wu- @ Apr 5 2014, 05:20 AM)
Greetings, would like seeks everyone opinions on this.

Recently, I having red dot rash itchy n a bit pain on my pen*s head n foreskin. Then it spread throughout the whole foreskin turning red like been burn. Was treated with cream n anti-fungal medicine by my GP. Seems works n recovery after a week but now after a week from recovery the itching returns n I saw red dots coming back. First occur after having sex 1 weeks b4. Anyone have similar experience?

Due to above scenario, I got worry n go for blood test at BP LAB. Just got the result HIV negative but got result for HSV -1 igg = 1.59 n HSV-2 igg = 1.01. The doctor at BP told me nothing to worry about HSV-2 after I confirm that I got cold sores on my mouth since I was kid. The doctor claims since I have HSV-1 the result on HSV-2 sure affected. Having experience on cold sores n there no such lesion on my genital area until now. Probably false positive since so low result as been told by the doctor. Is this true, share your thoughts.
*
I read a bit about HSV. Some websites say that if you have cold sores (HSV1) then chances of contracting oral herpes (HSV2) is quite slim since your body already has the antibodies to fight it or something. Then again, depends on your immune system also.
