for plan-b,actually the 2 pills can be taken together instead of 12 hours apart
common problem is when u freak the hell out and go for plan-b
u might freak the hell out and miss the 12 hours mark...
+2 hrs is no a problem for 2nd pills
but some documents show even taken together
the effect is the same, no reduction on the effective rate

of cos, i cant be sure if the Wikipedia is absolutely correct on this...

come in 2 doses, 0.75mg each
there are ECP that comes in one does, 1.5mg only
so logically it makes no diff if taken 2 doses apart...

pregnancy test can be use after 2 weeks of unsafe sex, repeat every two weeks until it shows positive (bless you) or until period comes again. Consult a doctor after negative sign showed for more than 4 times (2 months), ur period cycle is screwed..

I know that the last post of this thread was about a month ago but I have a situation here and it's a bad one. I always wear condom during intercourse. But in the afternoon today, the condom broke during our intercourse and I didn't realize it until I pulled out. We freaked out! I tried to go to the nearest pharmacies(guardian and vitacare if I'm not mistaken) but I was out of luck. The pharmacist had gone home considering that it was about 5.40 when I've reached the stores . I feel very unease and scared at the same time .

After I've read page 1 to 17, I know that the earlier you take the Morning After pills, the better. At least it is not 72 hours too late right? Here's my questions:

1. How much percentage of success if my gf took the pills after more than 12 hours? Cause I'm planning to buy the pills as soon as the store opens and pray that it is not too late.

2. How much does it cost nowadays?

3. What brand should I look for?


I would appreciate any replies soon.

well the pills are to be consumed 72 hrs after intercourse. If your gal has taken the pills within the first 12hrs then not to worry. Providing you follow the instructions on the pack.

But i think now the advice will not be useful as it has already passed 72hrs. LOL. But a word of advice, dont stress ur gf about it. or else the period will be delayed. expect the period anytime within this week or maybe next.

Read up and they've said that it can be taken up to 72hrs.
But of course, the effectiveness might be affected.

black_howling, I can't quite recall the brand of the condom I've used but it's totally not good considering that it tore easily when it's dry.

I managed to buy the pills (RM4.30) at Caring Pharmacy near PJ Hilton and have my gf consume the pills. I've read a blog that says the two pills can be taken together meaning that women can take the two pills as a single dosage. So I told my gf to take two pills at once. It taken approximately about 20hours or more after the intercourse but did not exceed 24hours.

The thing that makes me worried sick is the fact that it's my gf's ovulation period. Hope that the pills work. Again, thanks for the replies!

. relax mate. The important thing now is that you just be calm and tell her tat everything is fine. ok. She will calm down listening to you and wont stress much. Ok.
If all fails, there is a 1 month abortion pill tat you can take if she is to be pregnant. But then I doubt that it will come to tat. just scaring u. hehe

So lesson learnt, spend more abit to get a good condom. you might want to save cost and etc. but then you pay alot more if she gets pregnant.
2. Get some lubricant as well. this is to avoid the condom from going dry. Durex has a nice collection of lubricants. Utilize them.

Yeap lesson definitely learned. I've used the lubes before but my gf don't like it sometimes. I don't know why but I'll keep that in mind. Based from my experience, Durex is the only reliable brand. The chance that it may broke during intercourse maybe slightly higher than the ones I've bought.

I think you are refering to ECP. . It is somethin that can be obtain in a pharmacy but then you need to have a pharmacist to provide the meds. Its not something that can get over the shelves. it can cost from rm 4 - rm 5. The most common ECP would be Postinor 2.
