Hey munkeyflo, my gf n i had protected sex 2 days after her flow finished. you think theres any chance of pregnancy and is there any need for ECP? thanks! smile.gif
*
After her "flow finish" can be quite hard to say. You will need to provide more details:
Is her menstrual cycle stable every month? If yes, how many days on average?
How long does her flow usually last? 5 days? 7 days?
Or better still, exactly what day in her cycle did you had unprotected sex?
Did you ejaculate inside her or not?

Sorry about previous post being to vague. I mean its stable cycle i think.  average 30-31 day cycle.  flow lasts about 8-10 days. and did it after 2 days after her periods finished. used protection, but have my doubts. and thanks for the fast reply

or is it too weird of me to be paranoid?  icon_question.gif
*
Protection works majority of the time. If you have used protection all the way thru and there was no leaks, there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Say 2 days after 10 days flow, so it's roughly day 12.
Ovulation generally around day 14. Generally day 10-14 like that will be considered fertile period.

Its really up to you if you want to use ECP or not. If you are sure that you had use protection properly, then I don't think you'll need ECP. Otherwise, maybe you might want to consider getting ECP ASAP as she was most likely on her fertile period.

Hi, i have sex 4 days after my period ends. During sex we had condom on, but found out it was broken later. Then had morning after pill within 24 hours. Menstrual cycle average 33-35 days. Flows last around 5-7 days. Would there be any chances of getting pregnant? Is there any other symptoms shows that no pregnant other than waiting for the next period? Heard that the pill will affect the period comes later or might be earlier.

Need some advises. Thanks
*
You have already taken ECP and done all you can do right now to prevent pregnancy from happening. What you can do is just try to stay stress free and wait for your next period to come. You can also get pregnancy test kits to test around the time your next period is due.

Do note that ECP messes up the menstrual cycle and it'll be no surprise if your period comes earlier, later, or last for few weeks continuously. Give your body up to 3 months for the hormones to get back to norml

Lols.. But what if accident again, the condom brokes or some other thing.  sad.gif i need to take the ECP again. scary cry.gif

Btw, how many pills can be taken within a month? Any limit?
Is there any other side effects other than it disturb the mentrual cycle? As i go through some of the websites, some people might feels vomiting, headacher or dizzy. I dont feel anything, is the pill effective?  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
Avoid having sex during fertile period. After that, feel free to have sex. You can also have fun without having penetrative sex, although not as awesome but it is a good stress reliever as well. wink.gif

So far I haven't seen any limits on the amount of ECP that can be consumed a month but it is commonly acknowledged that ECP being for EMERGENCY use only, shouldn't be taken frequently. Yes, there are lots of other side effects. Some will experience it and some don't. Not everyone will have their menstrual cycle messed up. Each time you consume ECP, you may also experience different side effects. If you've read thru this thread, I've mentioned before that sometimes when I take ECP, there is no effect on my body or menstrual cycle at all. However, there are few times when I had continuous bleeding (up to 1 month bleeding). More common ones are having my period come early few days after taking ECP. Again, everyone body is different and the pills affect everyone differently. From my personal experience, I haven't experience vomiting, headache or dizziness before. It works most of the time so don't worry yourself too much. Stress is one of the biggest culprit in delaying menstruation.

Thanks for the info  icon_rolleyes.gif

For some reason, many people tend to think that period must come on the exact same day of each month to be stable. I don't know if you think that way too or you phrase your sentence wrongly. But I just wanna point out that every month does not have the exact same number of days and menstrual cycles can range anywhere between 25 days to 35 or 40 days. How you know whether the cycle is stable of not (and how you predict your next menstruation dates) is by calculating the number of days in your cycle. If your period came on the 5th this month, it does not mean that your period will come on the 5th next month.

Normally i count roughly in which week my period probably will comes. Don't think it will come the exact date every month. And from what i remember, thats seldom happen too. So normally i just see by week.  biggrin.gif
*
Calculate the number of days usually just +- 1-2 days if stable, shouldn't differ by the weeks. Get a period app on your smart phone to be more accurate and convenient to chart the cycle.
If you have a nicely chart menstrual cycle, spotting your ovulation dates (unsafe time) is much more easier. I'm not saying you must but just giving you more info.

Ya. Really could't depends on research or guess what is the side effect till ownself really experience it. Period came so many days earlier. Hope menstrual cycle can get back to normal soon.  thumbup.gif
*
Glad to hear that. Actually having their period come few days after taking ECP is one of the most common side effects.
Most of the time, your cycle is now changed to this new cycle where the 1st day of the cycle is the 1st day you get your period after taking ECP. So start by calculating the days from there and you can forget about your previous cycle.

Yes, period come already means not pregnant. Now as you already said, hopefully it'll get back to normal soon. wink.gif

QUOTE(Cruxs @ Aug 2 2013, 01:16 AM)
after take postinor then it is ok for next unsafe sex? if only can take twice a month then it will be max 6 days safe for unsafe sex per month.
*
No it's not ok. You are using it as a form of long term birth control. Go see a gynae and get birth control pills.
Link: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1830575

So what if you max 6 days than is more safe? 3 months of hormonal imbalance everytime you consume the pill doesn't affect you at all?
And actually, in our menstrual cycle, only about 1 week is unsafe, the rest are actually consider safe days. As long as one has a stable menstrual cycle and isn't ignorant to her body changes and the reproductive system.

Thanks for the useful info. Is there any app that you can recommend? Which would be nice to use and could count the most accurate? Or actually all the same?  tongue.gif Maybe i should get 1 and try.  biggrin.gif
*
Mostly almost the same. It just depends on the user interface. Some more nicer with flowers, some can change theme and stuffs. What it does is that it basically records your menstrual cycle and also any other symptoms that you record in it. For example, the one I'm using is "Period Tracker". You can refer to this page for some info: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...cker.lite&hl=en

What you do is everytime your period comes, you just tap the button that says period just started. When your period finish, there will be a button where you can press period finish. The app will automatically record your periods and it will take a few months before it will average out your cycle days and predict when are your next periods/ovulation dates. I can see when my ovulation dates are and will know to stay away from raw sex during those days. Of course it won't be 100% accurate so usually it's around +-1 or 2 days.

You can also keep record of when you are having pimples, cramps, and all sorts of other symptoms. Also when you had sex and other notes if you want. I feel good that I know what is happening to my body. You can also choose to make it alert you 1 or 2 days before your period due date and your expected fertile period. So quite useful for those who busy everyday until forget when is the next due date. laugh.gif

Hey

Can help me? icon_question.gif

My girl is still using a pad last Wednesday (but i see very little blood only), I saw it in my rubbish bin

This Monday we did it and I *ahem* inside

Am I in high risk? icon_question.gif

If yes, when can I get her do pregnancy test?

P.S. - I bought her Postinor but she refused to take it, saying "if really pregnant, I'd give birth" sweat.gif
*
You trolling or serious? laugh.gif

Can't say will get pregnant or not. Depends on a lot of things. But most likely low risk if she is still bleeding somewhat. Depending on how long her usual period lasts and whether her cycle is stable or not blah blah blah.

Pregnancy tests are pretty accurate these days and should be able to detect pregnancy around the time her next period is due (assuming it's late). Which is usually 2 weeks after unprotected intercourse. Good luck with that last sentence if you don't wanna be a father. smile.gif

Serious lar...here is not Kopitiam sweat.gif

She last used pad on Wednesday...on Thursday (the next day) we did it and I found her no longer using pad

Assuming Wednesday is Day 7 of her menstrual cycle...Monday would be Day 12 hmm.gif

She forgot/refused to tell me when was her Day 1 doh.gif
*
Do you know how many days is her cycle? Maybe you can recall when she told you her period first came few days ago? Doesn't she keep a record of her menstrual cycles? Go take a peek and see.

If Monday is day 12, today will be day 14. So assuming you do not have supersperm, you should be fine. Average sperm lasts 3 days or so.

Next time don't *ahem* inside her during sex. If you really want to, then do it the few days before her period is due. Also try to keep a mental note of her cycle, it'll be good for you also because women gets the desire when they are ovulating.

This is the first month we sleep together, so, no.

Furthermore she's drinking every night and late nights from her work, I'd guess her cycle shouldn't be stable.

Hopefully I'd get the chance to know her next period, from then on I'd keep track. sweat.gif
*
Nah, drinking and late nights doesn't mean her cycle isn't stable. It could contribute to it but depends very much on individual. Some people are more easily affected by stress compared to others.

If in the event, her cycle is really not stable. You should avoid *ahem*ing in her at all times.

Get a few pregnancy test kits.

Better wait until roughly the time her next period is due before you test for pregnancy.

hi everyone, I'm coming bak Malaysia in few days time and my gf say she want to try unprotected sex and wan me to cum inside of her. She say she will take pill to prevent pregnancy, I highly disagree but she insisted that she wan to try and know how it feels for one day.

She said her period will come around the day we gonna have sex, around that week. So my question is, can I cum inside her a few times in a day and have her take the plan b or is it call postinor2 in Malaysia after few times of sex but within 24hours? We only meet once a year so she wan me to cum inside her that one day and after that day only use condom.

And where can I buy this postinor2 from in KL? Sorry too long din back Malaysia so it's better to ask where instead of getting lost...how many box should I buy for that one day sex and how much is it?
*
Seems like she has it all planned out already. She's not on her fertile period also so it should be quite safe. Plus she say she will take ECP after that.

As long as taken within 1-3 days from your first unprotected intercourse, it should be fine. Plan B, Escapelle or Postinor2 all the same. You can get it from any pharmacy, pharmacist must be in. Cost is very cheap only, less than RM10 if not mistaken. If she lives in Malaysia, get her to buy it la. One dosage is enough, i.e. one box.

*
Not everyone is the same. Different people different. Some period will come, some will only bleed lightly, some will bleed for weeks or up to months, some will not find any difference in their menstrual cycle. But yes, generally most will bleed few days after consuming ECP.

If period doesn't come, doesn't mean that it was not effective. Best way to know is to use pregnancy test kits around 2-3 weeks after intercourse. Taking too much ECP and stressing oneself out will just mess up the hormone cycle even more.

QUOTE(sifudantongga @ Jan 1 2014, 01:58 PM)
Hi guys, i have 1 question about postinor2. Can postinor work if taking it when 'she's' ovulate? Pls we have 'ehem2' on 1/1/2014 around 1am. Then been to guardian, bought 4tabs (incase got emergency vomit or something.), she take 1 tab at 1/1/2014 11:30am. So another tab she will take around 11:30pm. Can it still work guys? Thx
*
That's what ECP is made for. It should work since she consumed it within 3 days of intercourse.

QUOTE(sifudantongga @ Jan 1 2014, 02:29 PM)
I hope so. Normally when the mense will come? About 2-3days?
*
As I've explained above, not everyone will experience the same thing.

If you read this thread, you'll see that it even differs for the same person each time it is consumed. There is nothing guaranteed when it comes to hormones, you can't be sure how each and everyone react to hormones in the same way.

Now already 4days after the intercourse. Need suggestion to be prevent pregnancy happened. Will postinor works in this case??

worried now...regret it happened 😓

Some say can use up to 5 days after intercourse but success rate will decrease significantly after the 3rd day. You can try.

Hard to say safe period or not as different girl different menstrual cycle and not everyone has a stable cycle.

QUOTE(JnJ6397 @ Jan 2 2014, 02:10 AM)
what if after taking the both tablet for postinor2 and stil having unprotected intercourse?will it b dangerous?

and what if after 2-3 days the period did nt come as my gf period cycle date is on 15 of everymonth?
*
Depends highly on which part of the menstrual cycle your gf is in. Generally, don't have unprotected sex if you don't want to have a baby and if both of you are so ignorant about the reproductive system.

She's counting her menstrual cycle wrong also. Count by the days, not calendar day.

I would normally say go get different types of pregnancy test kits to test, but you two should go see a gynae and read up on menstrual cycle and reproductive system if you guys still wanna have sex.

QUOTE(sifudantongga @ Jan 2 2014, 12:34 PM)
Another question i wanted to ask, is it ok if i give her green pineapples to eat on the next day after she swallowed the second tab?
*
Should be alright. Pineapple is that cooling thingy theory so I doubt it'll have any effect on her hormones.

Most importantly, try to be stress-free. Buy different pregnancy test kits and stop being paranoid. Stress will just messed up her menstrual cycle even more. Eat healthy and practice healthy lifestyle so that her cycle will stabilize ASAP.

its heen a week my gf taking postinor2, both tablets at once. Weirdly no side effects occur as stated most woman experienced. Then it was yesterday started feels ache on body & breast. Still, no bleeding yet. Can be this normal????

Also count period cycle wrongly. If last time bleed on 8th, assume 26-28 period cycle, this month it should between 10th-12th rite?
Need start mark the calendar dis time for her. Fool of me thought her period cycle were unstable most of time 😌. Now her mood just unstable...due to period is incoming mybe.

sigh...waiting for good news.further plan getting married dis year 😍.
dunno what i feel now 😐
*
Doesn't sound like anything wrong to me. Seems normal. Everyone react to the pill differently. As long as she is not bleeding abnormally and really in pain that is significantly different from the usual period cramps, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Get pregnancy test kits and test 2 weeks from now. In the mean time, you guys should keep your stress levels low and not mess up her cycle again. If you guys are really worried, go ask a pharmacist for their advice or see a gynae to clear your doubts.

Had intercourse on 1/1
Taken Postinor2 on 1/1
Started bleeding on 7/1
Still bleeding on 12/1

Seems to be like most people. If her bleeding is extremely abnormal and she is in pain then go see doctor. Otherwise, just rest well and take care of her body. Take note that Postinor2 may affect her menstrual cycle for up to 3 months, so anything is possible in these coming months. If in doubt, go see a gynae immediately.

Aiyohh. Sorry for calling u 'bro' -.-
She told me sometimes the bleed is light and sometimes thick. What do u mean with 'anything is possible in these coming months'? What kind of things could be happen to her?
*
Hormone imbalance. Might caused abnormal bleeding and certain PMS symptoms at the most unexpected time.

Some may bleed for a few days, some may bleed as per their usual menstruation, some may bleed for weeks, some may bleed very lightly then stop then bleed again for weeks. If she used to have a stable regular menstrual cycle, it could take up to 3 months for her cycle to stabilize again. Get her to record down when she bleeds and when she experiences certain PMS symptoms to help determine when is her next regular menstrual cycle.

Edit: Should be fine. Just relax and rest. Stress will just continue to mess up the cycle even more. If you guys are really worried, get pregnancy test kits to test about 1-2 weeks from now. Try not to rely on ECP so often, use other methods of contraception for future sexy times.

Well she rage only during period la...then u rage later at her lo. So win win situation.
When u rage u tell her why u rage la....but this time rage safely. LOL!!
My advise, is get a calendar. You will know when she is having her period then you can avoid confrontation with her.
But the calendar works providing she has a stable period.

Hahaha! Always also will have people calling me bro. laugh.gif

Yea I know a few guys who keeps better track of their gf's cycle than the gf themselves. When the gf start to rage, they will know its because of PMS and will do their best to avoid arguments haha.
