Sorry guys, I know this question has been asked before and before but I am still undecided what racquet to get. Mine is already 5 years so I need to get a new one. Budget on racquet only around 150. Any suggestion?

I am an all rounder player.

Btw I am staying around Puchong area, any recommendation where I can go and try the rackets before I buy?

Thanks

OK guys I'm newbie here and in badminton and I have few questions to ask. I tried google search but it didn't return the desired results.

I didn't get enough information about the difference between oval/round and isometric racquets. Is there any pic to show the difference. is round shaped type is due to having the T-joint to join the head and shaft.

I haven't play badminton in ages - and I got this cheap Powermax 9900 Nano racket which I think is a yonex clone. I learn a great deal about string tension, shaft flexibility etc before heading to a store for advice. I kept hitting on the frames and I feel it's too light especially when serve. Should I get heavier headed or even balance racket? But my form is improving match after match.

LOL yea it's that bad. But got it right after games. Not used to the rackets. And sometimes hit the shaft too.

oval has smaller sweetspot, iso bigger but the reward of accurate sweetspot hitting is higher with oval

oval and t-joint is the very old type of racket..that time no such thing as internal t-joint yet..even if there is, not widely used in production thus not famous and expensive

u can still find oval shaped racket heads with internal t-joint

Check out this vid, I think it's informational on how you align your racquet when doing forehand service.

got the X5 Silver from AJ's yesterday. Nice looking racquet. Tried it last nite (played half a game with it) .... feel was good but i had the tension too high for my kind of play (i use my wrist a lot).

So...instead of replacing my strings, anyone wanna buy a day-old X5 Silver (tension 26lbs) with grip at RM260? if there are any takers, i can meet to COD at puchong, i will then get another with 25lbs tension.

Figured that way, the RM20 saved will go to some LYN member! cheers!

P/S not adding this to the Garage Sales thread as i will juz change the strings if there are no takers.

New racket selling at RM280.. juz for info.

I'm curious, I hear a lot about AJ - is this a LYN member or a sport shop? If the latter where is it located?
