This is for you (especially the ones who come here to accuse us of diving and all) people who missed the Copa del Rey Finals.
This match was before the 1st Champions League leg at the Bernabeau(sp?)
Look at the amount of ugly tackles there were that were un punished, on and off the ball.
And Mourinho has the face to make a big fuss and ask the media WHY WHY WHY?

And before this match, there was another league match that was riddled with dirty play from Madrid as well.
It was at the Bernabeau as well.

Has Man U has been picking up form at the right time?
Can someone who watches EPL and Man U confirm this?

I dont know but I kept on reading all season long that Man U has been scraping wins and them playing poor football but still manage to grind out results but then I watch them against Schalke, totally different story.

Im sorry to say but I think that there are more Madrid youth players making it at the top rather than Barca's player. I have no time or desire to google up on it but ya know, it's the feeling I get.

Sometimes I feel like geez, why are so many top players from Madrid youth teams who play in a top club that is not in Real Madrid like Valero, Mata, Soldado.

We at Barca can only claim Cesc to be a Barca product that is a top player.

That brings me to my next question.
Are Barca bred players only suitable for Barca style of play.
It kinda makes sense since they all play in ONE and ONLY way.
So if they go to another club other than Arsenal, they will feel a cultural shock so to say. Different style, tactc etc.

Ya I also find the font a little bit odd.
It looks messy. They should've tried it without Italics.
Anyone can photoshop here?

He said he used to live in Amsterdam. Probably he's bumped into Cruyff one or two times there I guess drool.gif
Very close brotha, it's Rotterdam but my Dad's side of the family is a huge Cruyff fan as with any other family in Holland laugh.gif
Yeah, so my Dad really liked him and actually called him up.

Fareetz said that the fake jerseys and the original ones are very identical.
How do we know which is real and which is fake then?
Especially if we buy online...

Added on May 22, 2011, 2:07 amow btw guys, one question, i was wondering what will happen to barca b team if they finish in the top 3 of segunda division? i mean will they get promoted to la liga? is it possible to hav two same team in one league?
*
It's impossible to have 2 teams in one league.
Barca B can't even play in the Copa del Rey.
In Holland, the reserve team could at least participate in the Cup competition.

Absolutely nothing on Cesc yet so far. But do expect for Rosell and co. to make a move soon.

No offer from Milan for Ibra so far.

Sevilla has confirmed they've signed Caceres officially. The deal involves 3ME + 1.5ME in bonuses.

We are currently in negotiation for Jose Angel (Sporting) and Rossi. No amount of money is agreed on yet.

We are also linked with Alexis Sanchez, but I prefer Rossi smile.gif
*
Jose Angel's negotiation broke down once again.
Rossi looks like a done deal between 25-30mill.
Hopefully it's not including Botia though.

Milito can leave for FREE.
Caceres we could've sold him for 8 mills but the club wants him to be happy and lets him stay at Seville for only 3m.

QUOTE(uzary @ Jun 2 2011, 10:04 PM)
Van Persie slams Spain and Chelsea

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has launched an incredible tirade against Spain and Chelsea players, telling them to stop 'b****ing' at officials and get on with playing football.

Robin van Persie protests his red card against Barcelona

Van Persie claims he 'cannot understand' the behaviour of players who constantly put the referee under pressure and was scathing of Barcelona following their actions in the Champions League last-16 clash with the Gunners. However, he has now extended his ire towards the world champions and also London rivals Chelsea.

"They [Spain players] always go up to referees in an attempt to get an opponent booked. They are trying to screw colleagues! That kind of behaviour really annoys me," Van Persie told Sport 1.

"People who are watching the game on television and fans really do not want to see these kind of things. If you want to witness a lot of complaints, you should just go the bakery or something. There's always people nagging there as well.

"Chelsea players are always b****ing against the referees. I really cannot understand that. Just shut the f*** up and focus on playing football."

The Dutchman's comments, though, do take a different line from that of team-mate Jack Wilshere who claimed on Wednesday: "It's no use just Robin van Persie going because it looks like it's just him having a go at the ref. If we all get round him..." suggesting that Arsenal need to toughen up and impose themselves on officials.

Meanwhile, Nicklas Bendtner has confirmed his desire to leave the club.

"I have decided 100% that I must leave Arsenal," he told sporten.dk. "I've considered this for a long time and was quite clear when I arrived at my decision.

"It doesn't feel particularly strange to not know what my future holds - I'm quite calm and confident that I'll be fine at a new club.

"I'm fully focused on Saturday's game for now, because it is incredibly important, but after the international is over I may focus more directly on my future [but] I am sure I could easily go on holiday without having to panic about it. I'm looking to relax, mentally, after a season that was not what I hoped for or expected."

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/...hing%27?cc=4716

my respect towards arsenal is lessen everyday.. they r like loser blaming the referees when they themselves arent performed. i can understand rvp anger for his red card when he fought against us, but he shuldve gotten the earlier for his foul against alves iinm.
*
THanks for the article. Never liked that prick!
Was proud in the beginning that he came from the same area as I am but I never liked his attitude.
Even my mainly Feyenoord friends.

For the bold part.
I really don't understand why you would say such a thing. Its not just you. A lot of people on this board (lowyat) makes such comments.
I mean, who in the world cares if you respect a particular club or not. I said it to fans of other football club fans as well so I say it to you too.

the key to keep winning is by keep improving..
if want to create a dynasty, must musn't allow others to catch up with us..
Real Madrd is gettin close..
we need reinforcement..
*
exactly!!
look what happened after 2006.
Rijkaard applied the 'if it aint broke, dont fix it" rule which clearly back fired.
we lost the league the next year not because RM were better but because of complacency.
they knew their places in the team were cemented so they stopped trying 100%.

of course this batch is totally different.
they have a stronger unity and a stronger mentality but still..

I am pretty disappointed to hear that Pep doesn't want to sign reinforcements at the back.
i think we do need one speedy CB just in case Abidal has to play at LB if Adriano, our back up LB is injured and Puyol, our CB is injured.
Fontas+Pique pairing is a disaster waiting to happen.
And I dont count Mascherano as a long term solution as our CB.
we need to find a good, pacey CB FAST!!!
intergrate him this year while Puyol and Abidal are still reliable.
Remember, CB position is the most demanding in our system.

its hard for barcelona to sign any defensive player.. all the rumours and news is all about attacking players... is there any defensive player wanna play for barca????
*
I know. Now is the best time for the club to buy a CB and integrate him in slowly while Puyol can teach him a thing or two.
And only become a regular in 2012. That way he won't be burdened.
The requirements are; pace, good control, vision, calm when pressured..
Really, CB's in our system has the greatest pressure.
The single most important thing is PACE. Pique is not fast. We need a pacey CB to complement Pique.

We are also trying hard on Sanchez, but all of a sudden our contacts with Villareal for Rossi has seemingly stopped. There must be some problems during negotiation. Too bad compared with Sanchez and Cesc, I prefer Rossi more sad.gif

And I believe we don't need to buy CB. Adding youngsters from B team will be sufficient. Y'know, despite all these injury problems that hit our back line, have you guys ever wondered how could we have arguably the best ending of the season compared to most clubs? I think despite that we short on numbers, I think we are still well covered in defence, because Masch and Busquets can be more than enough to cover the back line.
*
Apparently, Barca is interested in only one of those 2 and used 1 as a way to reduce the price of the player that they are really interested in.
Pretty low class move to me..

Yes we we ended the season pretty well despite the injury problems.
But what if it happens again? + an injury to either Mascherano or Busi.
Who's going to fill in at CB?
Like I said a million times, we need a speedy CB to complement Pique.
Puyol was hardly caught off guard. Pique does get caught a lot.
So he needs a partner who can cover him.
Fontas is the B player that is the most ready but he is a Pique-clone.
Remember how disastrous it was when Milito-Pique marshalled the back line?
We need PACE

Err shocking.gif I don't know how did you think like that, but as far as my reading goes, Barca is now facing three clubs so determined to make the most out of their players. None of them will back down for 20ME.

Well, how much can we guarantee that the new CB will be free of injury? Even if we are gonna have a bigger squad, how can we guarantee that we won't have even bigger injury crisis next season?

Added on June 11, 2011, 5:26 pm

Catalan media.
*
Barcelona is only interested in one player between Rossi and Alexis Sanchez. The other player is used to lower the transfer fee from "rac1"
A radion channel based in Barcelona.

Why are you thinking negatively? It is better to be prepared.
Do you expect Puyol to play 50 matches the season after? In 2012.
I highly doubt it. So does Abidal.
That's why this season is crucial to integrate a new CB.
It will only give the new CB in 2012 a big pressure to succeed Puyol straight away.
One has to learn the language and the system;playing high up the pitch.

Added on June 12, 2011, 12:49 amWhen Barca players talk about Cesc, the Arsenal fans and British media call it tapping up. But now Djorou is talking about Gervinho...

QUOTE(matyrze @ Jun 12 2011, 04:42 PM)
Of course, the most likely situation is we are going to buy only one of them. Doesn't mean we are low balling one of them by using the other. You know, no matter how RAC wanna put it, the fact is both clubs are determined to get at least 30ME, and if Barca can't pay, they have all the rights to keep their players. I can't see Barca have the negoing power in this situation.
Nope, I was not being negative. That's just how Pep works. This issue about our squad being too small has been floating around ever since Pep took charge of this team. We never have proper cover Alves, Xavi, let alone Messi. And yet, we have been winning nearly everything during Pep's period.

I do wonder though, do you remember Caceres? He has the pace, but it was obvious he couldn't perform anything near good while in offensive, and his pace didn't helped him much defensively either. Or do you want Barca to break the bank for a perfect CB? I think the money will be better used on a player who can help varying his tactical options.
Well I never heard reports about that throughout last season. He seemed concentrated on improving, and I think he's got chances as well. But if Liverpool offer significantly higher than 4ME we paid to PSV, then why not? tongue.gif
*
No, it is a low ball move. They are using 1 of them to lower the price of the other.
Maybe not as low as Madrid who register an interest in the players that we are interest in just to make sure we have to pay more for that particular player.

Caceres. That guy is a ticking time bomb. I like him for his pace but dude can't defend and is always reckless.
There was a move last season in which he tackled 2 players at once. That guy always cracks me up whenever he plays for Uruguay and Seville.
Love his hair though. Change my hairstyle to follow his.

I didnt say that we need to break a bank. I just said that we should look for a CB now.
There were rumors taht they were interested in Sakho. Never saw him play and by the looks from youtube, he looks ok to me.
But not really my type of player. But again, youtube only shows highlights.
There was also a rumored interest in Vertonghen. Now that I like....

Another rumor that died was the one regarding FOrlan and Kanoute.
I think we should sigh either one of them (Kanoute preferably) and one of the Rossi and Sanchez.
Both the 2 older guys would definitely add something different to our attack. A plan B.

Oh yes...
Thanks for bringing Busquets up.
People still whine that he dives and all.
But for the people who have been watching all the matches from this season and the last, you could tell he has cut out that non-sense out.
EVer since the peek-a-boo incident against Inter he has stopped over reacting.
Too bad people keep on living in the past.
Look for other people's positives, dont hate.

People who are not familar with La Liga or Barca think that you need a strong, well built DM but you dont.
All you need is a player who is very good in reading the games.
Like Busquets said, he is always calculating.

And it's true. The amount of times, he blocks a move, I mean like cutting out the passing lanes. He is a master at that. You may not really see what he does cos the ball is away from him but try next time, just follow Busquets. He is genius.

btw, assuming sanchez will play for us, n let say we manage to get febregas too, so who will be playin in the first eleven.

ok, we r playin 4 3 3, that is abidal, puyol, pique n alves at the back, in the center we will hav busquets/masch, xavi/febregas n iniesta, forward shud be messi, villa n pedro/sanchez.. whatever it is i wishes that affelay can hav more play time as i c a lot of potential in him, i hope he'll be like bergkamp in our team. rclxms.gif

hohohoh...
please do not ever, ever put bergkamp in the same sentence as affelay.
im happy and all that to finally have a dutch on our team, but bergkamp is in a planet of his own.
bergkamp has a touch similar to iniesta's, smooth and silky.
yeah, maybe iniesta is the closest to bergkamp.
